We saw more birds and animals here between 4-5:30PM than almost anywhere on our trip! the grounds are open and manicured allowing for great viewing. There are nice jungle walks as well.

I brought a college class to Belize and we toured the gardens with a guide twice: once for the medicine trail and activities at the Mayan House and once for a night walk to spot wildlife. The guide for each tour was excellent, with good breadth and depth of knowledge and patience with answering a barrage of student questions.

We stayed at DuPlooys and spent one afternoon exploring the gardens. Lots of trees and plants were marked so you knew what you were looking at. The Orchid house was lovely even though there were not many orchids in bloom in January. We really enjoyed the Mayan hut (complete with tools) and the Mayan medicine trail. We also climbed the...

Enjoyed my trip to the Gardens, but it was a bit boring. A must see if you're looking for a day away from the adventures of Belize. It was quiet, serene and full of colorful flowers. Wouldn't go again, but glad I saw it once. Plants included cotton and exotic fruits.

My wife and I headed over late one day on a wim and really enjoyed the gardens. My wife loved the orchid house and fruit trees. They have a little replica Mayan hut set up to walk through, complete with all the household stuff. Around the house they have plants that the Mayans used. Overall it's a nice little excursion.

The Belize Botanical Garden is gorgeous! We took a tour of the garden, and the variety of plants and flowers was phenomenal. Our guide (John, the director of the garden) seemed to know everything about all the plants we saw. There was an amazing amount of variety, even when we went during the dry season. I loved learning about the...

The guide books said that Belize Gardens at duPlooy's was worth visiting. We had rented a car and decided to go see the gardens. The road to duPlooy's is very bad although we had gone over other bad roads in Belize and were not too surprised. We were surprised at a speed bump on an extremely bumpy road.

When they said they would inspire us to appreciate plants, they weren't joking. I was lucky enough to be part of a student group that got to go to the Botanic Gardens many times over the course of the semester. They have such a diversity of plants there, not to mention different biomes on site. One could spend a full...

The garden is seriously a hidden gem. I was scared that the taxi took a wrong turn but once we got to Du Ploy's and then saw the garden, it was super cute. The garden is definitely low-key but it was a huge variety of fruit trees, beautiful flowers, native trees....we especially enjoyed the logwood tree with its natural purple...
