We arrived late, but our guide William was so great. He pointed out EVERYTHING on our horseback ride to Xunantunich (trees, birds, iguanas, etc). He knew so much about the ruins, too! He found cool plants growing in the grass that other tour guides skipped over (sensitive plant), and even got a tarantula to come out of his hole (drawing... More

We dediced to do the horseback ride to Xunantunich with Hannah's stables based on others' reviews. I am SO glad we did! Terry (from England) was our guide and she was funny, personable and even let me ride her horse on the way back! I'm a rider so I really was looking for a great place with nice horses to... More

Santiago was a highlight of the trip! It was my first time ever on a horse and he made me feel comfortable and confident. He was a helpful guide throughout the tour, sharing with us his love of Belize and for horses. He even drove us back to the hotel after the excursion was over, and we liked him so... More

We stayed for three enjoyable nights. One day we rode the horses up to the Mayan ruins which are beautiful and had a delicious lunch at benny's on the way back. The rest of the time was spent in the river, in town and generally chilling out in the gardens. Santiago is a excellent host and if you can get... More

We had a party of 8 with varying experience with horseback riding including two that had never been on horseback. The trail was easy and everyone had a great experience and time on the 1/2 day adventure from the stables to the ruins and then back. Along the way we stopped for lunch (included) at Sammy's in San Ignacio. Really... More

My husband and I visited Hanna Stables for a horseback ride to Xunantunich ruins. (We did not stay at Nabitunich but are considering it for our next trip.) Our guide for the day was Terry, and she was very knowledgeable and humorous. We rode extremely well-mannered horses through the jungle to the ruins where we were met by our tour... More

Our family of five had a wonderful experience with Hanna Stables. We opted for the Xunantunich ride followed by lunch at Benny's restaurant. What a spectacular way to see the country and learn about the culture. We rode through jungle trails and local streets. Our guide was knowledgable and friendly. He made sure our 11 yr. old was safe and... More

Hanna Stables has great horses, beautiful scenery, skilled wranglers and they accommodate all levels of riders. Although I was staying at another location and came just for the ride, I look forward to returning and staying for a few days at the stable. Santiago demonstrates his passion for riding and love of horses and was an entertaining host!! I would... More

So glad we chose Hanna stables. The horses were beautiful and we'll taken care of. The ranch and grounds were breathtaking Just what I imagined it could be. Lush and tropical The ferry ride was different and the ruins are massive. Loved hearing more about Mayan culture and the view from the top

We thoroughly enjoyed our horseback riding excursion with Santiago as our guide! The property was gorgeous, riding along the river most of the way. The horses were "real horses" and not "nose-to-tail trail horses". Great choice for people who have some experience with horseback riding, but also more mellow horses available for those without much experience. One of our favorite... More
