We spent a half day with Hanna Stables, doing a horseback tour for 2 to Xunantunich. Our tour guide, William, was very knowledgeable and was a great person to have a conversation with while we were riding to Xunantunich. The horses provided were very predictable and comfortable with having a tourist on their back. This was the first time I've... More

We took a ride up to the Mayan site, Xunantunich with Santiago and it was one of the highlights of our trip. He was an amazing guide. He put our one less experienced rider at ease, while still allowing the two of us who were more confident to canter ahead. His horses were beautiful, well looked after, and ready to... More

We had an unforgettable ride with Santiago. Very knowledgeable and funny guy, he is just the right person and we were lucky to have as our guide. Learned a lot about handling horses and about Belize's flora & fauna during our ride. Very challenging trails that he took us on but we feel safe and confident with Santiago. We thoroughly... More

We arrived late, but our guide William was so great. He pointed out EVERYTHING on our horseback ride to Xunantunich (trees, birds, iguanas, etc). He knew so much about the ruins, too! He found cool plants growing in the grass that other tour guides skipped over (sensitive plant), and even got a tarantula to come out of his hole (drawing... More

We dediced to do the horseback ride to Xunantunich with Hannah's stables based on others' reviews. I am SO glad we did! Terry (from England) was our guide and she was funny, personable and even let me ride her horse on the way back! I'm a rider so I really was looking for a great place with nice horses to... More

Santiago was a highlight of the trip! It was my first time ever on a horse and he made me feel comfortable and confident. He was a helpful guide throughout the tour, sharing with us his love of Belize and for horses. He even drove us back to the hotel after the excursion was over, and we liked him so... More

We stayed for three enjoyable nights. One day we rode the horses up to the Mayan ruins which are beautiful and had a delicious lunch at benny's on the way back. The rest of the time was spent in the river, in town and generally chilling out in the gardens. Santiago is a excellent host and if you can get... More

We had a party of 8 with varying experience with horseback riding including two that had never been on horseback. The trail was easy and everyone had a great experience and time on the 1/2 day adventure from the stables to the ruins and then back. Along the way we stopped for lunch (included) at Sammy's in San Ignacio. Really... More
