For guided tours of Mayan Ruins in Belize’s Cayo District and Guatemala’s Tikal, K’atun Ahau Tours is the only company to use. Elias Cambranes, the owner of K’atun Ahau Tours, is one of a handful of Belizean guides that is also licensed in Guatemala. This enables him to provide a unique service. Elias specializes in Tikal, but has an excellent... More

I booked the Tikal tour with K'atun Ahaw and was very pleased with all aspects. Prompt correspondence from Elias on all emails and he helped arrange my transportation from Belize City and back again on top of everything. Price was fair and boarder crossing issues were handled efficiently by our guide. Elias had to run another tour as another guide... More

We had the good fortune of finding Elias to take us on our Tikal Mayan ruins tour. Elias was absolutely awesome. He was a combination of reliable, informative, fun, and made the day so easy for us: Reliable – We were vacationing in Belize and we arranged that we would drive to San Ignacio and Elias would meet us at... We booked two tours with this company. The one day tour to Tikal in Guatemala $120 USD pp (in cash) with Christian and the tour to ATM $85 USD pp with Ben. What phenomenal trips! We loved going to Tikal to see the ruins. It is remarkable that the Mayans were able to build such a vast civilization. We were... More

We booked two trips with K'atun A haw Tours. The communication from home to book ahead of time was prompt, friendly and professional. Elias answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. For our first trip to Xunantunich and Cahal Pech we were picked up from our hotel by Elias who took us through town, explaining the history and interesting... More

Elias stayed with us the entire time. We basically got a private tour since our family of 4 was the only booking for the day. I was asked to pay the day before at his office in town which made me a little uncomfortable but he does accept credit cards if you don't want to pay cash up-front. Once I... More

Elias is the owner and he led us for both our tours for Tikal and ATM cave. We planned this trip for our honeymoon this past July. I first want to highlight how quickly Elias responds to questions and booking tours with him. He is thorough with his information and even shares other places to go (we got a rental... More

We were staying a few days in San Ignacio to try and see some of the cool things in the area. I wanted to see Tikal but had read that getting across the border and to the site could be a bit tricky and wasn't sure I wanted to do it. We spoke with a lovely lady about Tikal and... More

We used K'atun Ahaw Tour for 3 total trips and it as well worth it. I've traveled around the world and used dozens of tour guides. I loved working with Elias from start to finish. He ensured that all of our expectations were met- even when we ran into weather issues. We spoke to other couples while we were in... More

Elias was a fantastic tour guide to ATM. From coordination of the tour stateside to the day of the tour, he made things easy and communication was great. He was very knowledgeable about the cave, Mayans and the country in general and freely shared the information in a fun and informative way! Lunch, made by his wife, was a deliious... More
