Just a kilometer from the T intersection of the Georgeville and Pine Ridge Roads, the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch is the perfect stop for everyone planning a visit to Barton Creek, Mountain Esquestian Center or on their way to Five Sisters, Rio on the Ponds or Caracol. Take a break from the rough road ride and relax for an hour... More

We had never been to a butterfly farm and were not expecting much, maybe a few butterflies, etc. WOW, were we wrong! It was amazing and a great experience. The amount of butterflies were overwhelming; they were everywhere, in all shapes and sizes. We even had a few land on us, one of which stayed on my wife for 5+... More

I've done quite a few butterfly farms, most of them bigger than this one, but I can say without any doubt that this was by far the best experience. The amount of butterflies overwhelms you from the moment you enter. They are everywhere, in all shapes and sizes. We were with adults as well as teenagers as well as toddlers... More

We stopped here as part of a day of adventures and sights booked by Mystic River Resort. It's a small place but has a huge number and variety of gorgeous butterflies. You can also see them in all stages of life including hatching in front of your eyes. My daughter was in heaven wandering through the butterfly enclosure. Word of... More

When I visit the butterfly house created by Tineke & Jan, I feel like I've entered a tropical wonderland. It's difficult to listen to the knowledgeable guide who explains the life cycle of the butterfly because I'm distracted by the amazing photographic opportunities. The sheer volume of butterflies of different species makes it possible to work for that elusive, perfect... More

Our guide was very informative about the types of butterfly's they have on-site as well as the process from caterpillar to butterfly. We went in mid-afternoon so we did not get to see the butterfly's as active as they would have been earlier or later, but it was still interesting to walk around. Other items of interest were the hummingbirds... More

We decided at the last-minute to make reservations here for the happy hour that begins around 5pm. I wasn't expecting too much aside from a house full of butterflies, but it was SO much cooler than that! Jan, the owner, was so passionate and informative about what he does that it was truly fascinating talking with him. The rum punch... More

We stopped at the butterfly farm on our way back from Barton Creek Cave, which is nearby. It was a fun stop to view beautiful butterflies and learn about them, including Blue Morphos, Magnificent Owl, Glasswing, and several more species. The educator who showed us the butterfly house was very knowledgeable about the butterfly species and their life-cycle. The butterfly... More
