A place not to be missed. Go now, in a few years it will be off-limits...hurry. More

This was a great dry cave to see since the waters were flooding and the wet caves were not accessible. The hike in and out was very slippery and muddy but made for a fun adventure and a nice way to get a little exercise. I was very impressed that our interpreter was the one who actually discovered this cave! More

We had the pleasure of a tour of this cave and the Mayan castillo Xunantunich on the same day. Both were extraordinary sites, but the cave, privately owned, the knowledgeable William, who took us through nine levels used by the Mayans for various death rituals. This family-owned site is untouched by the usual tourist hoards. There's a hike of moderate... More

The walking to the entry of the cave is about 45 minutes with some steep path. But it is worth it. In the cave you have to climb some ladders, and your clothes get very dirty. But this is really worth the trip! More

Another cave. If you have been in a cave with a boat then it probably looked like this. Similar to a cave I visited in New Zealand. Interesting excursion. More

Small dry cave with Mayan artifacts deep in the jungle. Tour guide was William, the guy that discovered the cave when he was just 16 years old. Nice half day trip, especially if it's a rainy day. More

This was a wonderful tour if you are at all interested in the Maya. It is a good hike to get to the cave but worth it. William was our guide who found the cave, and he is just another reason why Belize is a special place to visit. To see pottery that was placed in the cave at the... More

Finally got to go inside Chechem Ha! We'd stayed the night before, but never done the cave. This time, we had a smaller student group, and only wanted to see the cave. William discovered the cave, and on the hike to the cave gives some of the history of the cave, and his story on how he discovered it. Great... More

Visiting this cave is certainly worth the trip. William (who found the cave) still owns the cave and gives the tours. It's quite impressive to be this close to such excellent artifacts and hear the history. The cave also has nice (natural) cave formations. No need to wear helmets since the ceiling is so tall, but nice to have &... More
