So went here as part of a Vision of the Seas Tour. The beach was rocky and water shoes are needed. We went in the water and saw one starfish but nothing else, literally the snorkeling was horrible. We laid out then went to the bar which had the slowest service I have ever seen by a human being. There... More

I recently took the excursion to Starfish Island off my Liberty of the Seas cruise. It was a quick boat ride over (about 15 min) to this palm tree filled island. Don't expect soft sand. It's basically a man made island but the people who run it were very friendly and hospitable. I recommend the water shoes because to get... More

This tour to starfish island was booked through cruise line. You tender from the ship and back to the ship. So you don't even go to Belize. We did it because we wanted to relax and have a beach day but it definitely didn't give us a feel for Belize. Nice beach BUT they forget to tell you that you... More

Took a day excursion with my 10 yr old daughter in April 2015. Loved it! Don't miss the small fence-enclosed starfish pool ! The locals were so helpful and sweet to help my daughter get comfortable holding the various wildlife in the water and letting me get pictures. Plenty of shady areas and sun. Food was ok. The day was... More

We signed up for a snorkel and beach day and overall we were pleased with the entire experience. There were two boats at the snorkel site and it was a little crowded but once you got a little bit away from the boat there was ample room to hover over the reef area and observe beautiful sea life in a... We took this excursion from RC cruise. Everything I read about Belize, barrier reef, second largest in the world, a must see! So why, if it is so big, do you cram as many people you possibly can on a boat, then park another boat stuffed with people right next to us and then have us all snorkel together. Both... More

My husband and I took this excursion during our cruise's day docked in Belize. It was a short boat ride from the ship, and our excursion was the first one to arrive. We were able to get chairs right by the water and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing bit of paradise away from the hectic activities of the cruise ship. Starfish... More

We wanted so much to like this shore excursion. It is a lovely setting. It was a lovely day. But the service was beyond lousy. We like to think we are 'midwest nice.' We try to give people the benefit of the doubt. We understand they were busy... but shouldn't they be used to busy? I assume large groups arrive... More

Looks like this island used to be called bannister island? We did Starfish Island as an excursion through Royal Caribbean. You are tended and the boat ride to this island was like 20 minutes. Its not a huge island but it was very beautiful. This place is for a relaxing beach day in paradise. There is a swimming area where... More

FACT: if you're on a cruise, there aren't many excursions you can do with children younger than 8...most of the caving excursions have older age requirements. Therefore, Starfish Island is a great option. We went several years ago and this was an absolutely filthy beach. The water was nothing but seaweed. However, the new owners have this area in MUCH...
