After a tour of the ruins in Altun Ha and a river cruise we returned her for our cruise ship tender, but had time to visit the shops--very nice selection of jewelry and local nick nacks. But visited this location for a nice cold local beer. Friendly, fun place for a quick refresher.

The limited swimming area has a muddy bottom the five to seven feet before you got past the shore was crushed seashells and very sharp and jagged. The facilities were ok the food was ok but overall we came fromTabyana beach to this and it was not good.

Our trip to starfish island was nice, but nothing to brag about. It was over crowded, the buffet wasn't that good, and the only time the people working there smiled was when they were talking to each other. The best part of the excursion to the island was the water, which was amazing. Unfortunately, we found ourselves ready to leave... More

We knew what we would get when we booked this via Carnival (Starfish Island) and had read the reviews. Pros: relaxing, away from Belize City, not crowded, decent lunch, ample lounge chairs and shade. Cons: manmade means course sand with a lot of shell fragments so bring water shoes, main swimming area is exposed to the gulf - wind kicks... More

The beach was rocky and the water was not clear. Food and drinks were pricey and bring cash. Also boat motor quit on the way back to ship. Least favorite excursion.

So went here as part of a Vision of the Seas Tour. The beach was rocky and water shoes are needed. We went in the water and saw one starfish but nothing else, literally the snorkeling was horrible. We laid out then went to the bar which had the slowest service I have ever seen by a human being. There... More

I recently took the excursion to Starfish Island off my Liberty of the Seas cruise. It was a quick boat ride over (about 15 min) to this palm tree filled island. Don't expect soft sand. It's basically a man made island but the people who run it were very friendly and hospitable. I recommend the water shoes because to get... More

This tour to starfish island was booked through cruise line. You tender from the ship and back to the ship. So you don't even go to Belize. We did it because we wanted to relax and have a beach day but it definitely didn't give us a feel for Belize. Nice beach BUT they forget to tell you that you... More

Took a day excursion with my 10 yr old daughter in April 2015. Loved it! Don't miss the small fence-enclosed starfish pool ! The locals were so helpful and sweet to help my daughter get comfortable holding the various wildlife in the water and letting me get pictures. Plenty of shady areas and sun. Food was ok. The day was... More

We signed up for a snorkel and beach day and overall we were pleased with the entire experience. There were two boats at the snorkel site and it was a little crowded but once you got a little bit away from the boat there was ample room to hover over the reef area and observe beautiful sea life in a...
