OK, if you do no other attractions in the Belize City Area, you Must go to this one!
This is not a 'Zoo', in the big city type you may have only been too, this is a Natural Setting for animals indiginous to Belize can live and be seen and Studied in a natural setting.

Our tour of the Belize Zoo was great. The zoo is not really a zoo as one would expect, but a sanctuary for animals that have been displaced or injured. this is not your normal zoo, it is a rescue zoo where animals are placed who otherwise would probably be killed.

We were visiting Belize on Carnival's Dream. The Belize zoo was our choice for excursion but the cost thru carnival was over 300.00 for our family of 4. The entrance fee to the zoo is only 15.00 for adults and 5.00 for kids. We decided to rent a car from Crystal Auto Rental and drive ourselves.

I guess it was juts the time of year we chose to visit the zoo.. Ugh, needed lots of off, next time ill make sure there are NO mosquitoes biting to do any outdoor activities :)
