Had a great experience during our trip. The shuttle was on time in picking us up from the hotel. The driver made it a point to point out specific points of interest as we drove nearly an hour to the site where a boat awaited us in the New River. Once on the boat, Carlos was our guide. He is... The trip is long especially if you come like us from San Pedro, but it worth it. You really fell to be in a place were not everyone can be. The access is difficult which make is precious. The boat tour on the river is part of the experience so enjoy it. Once you are on site the guide was... More

This tour brings you to a great Mayan site, with guide that are very knowledgeable, by way of a river. The river tour gives you a chance to see much of the local area surrounding the site including local wildlife like the monkey that came down to hang out on the boat for a moment. Very cool tour allowing a... More

My Wife and I went on this tour, and really learned much more detail about Mayan civilization and history. Our tour guide who is pictured here, was very knowledgeable, and eloquent in his delivery of information. We had the opportunity to climb the tallest of the Mayan pyramid ruins at this site, and I must say that the experience was... More

After reading reviews where multiple people said the trip was a long day, we opted to take a flight to the boat from Ambergris Caye. Our guide was knowledgable and despite torrential rain soaking us in the boat, everyone was in good spirits for our adventure. The site was very interesting, and our guide was great at pointing out the... More

Our group took of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was excellent and very informative. In addition to the ruins, which are excellent, we saw crocs, tarantulas, and many other things in between. I would highly recommend!

The actual Mayan site of Lamanai is amazing. Dense jungle with huge temples you can climb on and see a 360 degrees view of the surrounding area. There is some serious history here. The guides were also very informative. BUT... If you are coming from San Pedro you Take a 1 hour boat ride to get to the mainland, then... More

The only negative was the boat ride. It had a lot of wasted time which could have been spent at the ruins

We took this tour in May, and it was great! Our guide was waiting for us when we got off the ship in Mahogany Bay and we were able to get into a van and go. I've read other reviews complaining about everything from the food, to the vans, to the guides attitudes....DON'T believe it ! We were travelling with... More
