We booked this excursion while aboard a cruise ship. Total cost over $200+ for this 7 hour excursion. The air conditioned bus picked us up and we traveled 75 minutes one way through a the very poor inland area of Belize. Not anywhere close to the beautiful beaches or water. Fortunately there was a restroom on the bus, for #1... More

The whole experience at Lamanai is awesome. Lamanai is located down a river so one of the only ways to get there is on a boat. The boat ride was fantastic and almost better than the ruins themselves. They take you on a small boat with about 15 other people. The awesome thing is that they stop along the way... More

We visited this Manyan site as part of our trip through the region. We first took a great tour on the river and saw the beautiful wildlife including a lot of different species of birds. A great way to travel to the site. On the site we had a great tour and tried to get the spiders out to see.... More

The trip up the river to Lamanai and the beautiful green setting are as good as the ruins. Take your time to wander around, climb the temples, gawk at the howler monkeys and admire the black orchids. But just be sure you get here as early as possible to avoid the hordes of cruise ship passengers - or come on... More

The site at Lamanai has been designed to explore a few temples connected with nice gravel pathways, good signage identifying some of the native plants, yet leaving some of the integrity of the site intact. You get to see the unearthed front of the temples, but the back remains covered by jungle as it would have looked to those first... More

Lamanai mayan ruins are very beautiful and well kept.. The environment is clean and has a natural balance with the ecological species that inhabit the area. Great for pictures with unforgettable memories! Belize is a diamond.. 👌🌳🌴

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour. We especially enjoyed the river and how often the driver of the boat stopped to show us wild life. We saw two different types of monkeys, one on the river and the other was a Mother/Child in the jungle near the ruins. We also saw many birds, crocodiles and... More

Collin was a great guide for the ruins who timed our trip so we had the whole place to ourselves. He knew when the tour groups were coming and steered us around them. Literally, we were the only people there when we skipped up the steps to the tallest ruins.

We loved it all. Fun River ride, great wildlife, educational Mayan ruin tour. Climbing not for the weak of body or faint of heart. Our guides Edgar & Roy DeLeon were fabulous. Lunch provided by locals was delicious. Highly recommended

We arrived at the site via speedboat - highly recommended method of reaching this remote site. What a fabulous place. Due to its remoteness there weren't many people there - so our photos were really good without lots of people in the way. We were also able to climb some of the remains - which you cant always do. the... More
