We choose this destination to be away from crowded anchor places and yes, you are more or less alone. The combination wind without waves and the challenging scattered reefs and cays makes it a challenging and wonderful sailing destination. However, do not go there when you expect lonely white and virgin postcard beached. 99% of the islands are mangroves and,... More

We have snorkled in Belize on two different trips. Tobacco Cay had amazingly clear water. I have never experienced such a beautiful underwater world. Snorkeling off Caye Caulker, Tobacco Caye, and from the edge of a sailboat, you can see dozens of aquatic species such as eagle rays, nautilus, incredible tropical fish, nurse sharks, and more. Taking the Ragamuffin sailboat tours out into the Reef was an amazing opportunity to have unforgettable experiences and make... More

I'm not a diver, but believe me, you can see tons as a snorkeler. I've snorkeled the Belize Barrier Reef many times. At Glover's Reef Atoll, Laughing Bird Caye, and just off the beach at my friends house. So many amazing fish and corals! And I've heard from divers that the Belize Barrier Reef is some of the best diving... More
