My husband and I only hiked on the nature trails. They were well marked and we were treated to lovely scenery in peaceful surroundings.

Really cool zoo. It is a different experience outside of walking around on hot asphalt trails. This zoo takes you right through the woods on the walking paths and over water on bridges. The staff was awesome and let my kids help feed the Rhino. I have been to tons of zoo's all over America and I'll say this one... More

Even though the weather didn't totally cooperate, our family truly enjoyed this festival. It's a cultural learning experience and I will certainly be attending it again next year. Good the opportunity to visit the Chehaw zoo which is extremely well kept. Rode the train and the kids had lots of fun. Chehaw also has fantastic employees that always have a... More

I live in this area and have been to other parks in other areas. This is a nice walk through a South Georgia wood. There are animals but some are hard to see others are not that exotic. Bring bug spray in the summer!! The playground is large and can be fun for small children. The camp ground is nice... More

This park is practically in my back yard, but I tend to take it for granted. We've camped here three times. The first time we stayed in the RV section, which was nice. The sites are good size. The other times we stayed on the tent side, where the sites are not defined and are huge and sprawling. You can... More

I thought being a smaller city the Zoo would be smaller than Tallahassee. Wrong. They have more animals, a good variety of exotic animals, plus they had it set up where you could actually see all the animals. Enjoyed it very much.

We had an 8 yr old and 12 year old with us ... everyone LOVED the zoo and the play park. Beautiful sunny but cool day, so animals were active. The Camel is one of an endangered number of two hump camels and is beautiful. The two Cheetah were awake and interested in their surroundings. All the enclosures were clean,... More

The best alligator viewing venue I have ever seen. Great bike trail too. Beautiful place and reasonable prices.

We recently took our eight and three year old sons to Chehaw. They love animals, so they really enjoyed seeing the baby Colobus Monkey jumping around, acting so cute! One of the alligators actually swam up to us as we stood on the deck. It was great to see one moving really close. Usually they are all just still, basking... More
