Chehaw Park has a great Festival of lights where you drive your vehicle through the park and look at all the Christmas lights. They have a lot of unique lights such as lights designed like the animals in the zoo. They also have Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as a train ride.

Thanks for the review. Our maintenance guys create these displays from scratch and are already brainstorming new displays for next year! Hope you can visit the lights again next year! More

Nice surprise within city's reach. Has a zoo, BMX track, hiking trails, horse trails, picnic area, campground (tent, RV & horse camp). They are building another campground too. I used the campground, tent area. Very large area, tall trees, beautiful and quiet. Electric & water, with concrete picnic tables are available on the perimeter of the tent area only. No... More

Thank you for your comments! You're right, the Zoo is not at it's best right now. Extensive storm damage to the suspension bridge has left a portion of our Zoo completely inaccessible to guests and made 4 exhibits temporarily off limits. Because of this, we have cut our Zoo prices in half until we can restore full access to the... More

This is a great park and small zoo. The price is very resonable we spent less for our family of 7 than 1 ticket to most zoos or attractions. The playground was huge and my nephews loved it. The zoo is small but very good you learn alot and the train ride and veldt ride were so much fun. On... More

I drive from Columbus GA to go to the zoo. It dosnt have a all of the Animals that Atlanta and Montgomery zoos have but it does have plenty. They have a train that runs on weekends and a Wagon pulled Safari ride to see zebras and other animals. I like that it is secluded woods trails and not over... More

Not worth the money. Not that many animals at park. Train around zoo only runs on weekends. Place sounded great online but not in person.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. While a visit during the week is nice, I definitely recommend visiting on the weekend to experience everything that we have to offer. A weekend visit allows you to see all of our 250+ animals, take a free tour on the African Veldt Ride, visit our concession stand, take a ride on our... More
