The Arcadia Opera House, built in 1906, is a museum and enormous antique shop. It houses an amazing collection of historical items and the theater is in near original condition. Several paranormal investigations have taken place there and the Opera House is a well know haunted location.

Quite an eclectic representation of antiquities but James at the Opera House could brush up on customer appreciation.

We drove out to Arcadia from Port Charlotte. So many antique stores!!! The opera house certainly is the setting for a store. Amazing to consider what went on there with the stage, the balcony & those steps!

Eclectic mix of history and antiques. Fun just to browse around the different rooms of treasures. The whole Arcadia downtown was fun for antique shopping, but this one is different.

Awesome blast to the past, we love wandering through the shops in downtown Arcadia, and the opera house is our favorite.

My husband, 15 year old daughter, and I enjoyed exploring the many rooms and treasures to be found here. The historical background made it even more fun and we plan to return when we have more time.

Excellent and eclectic selection of antiques! The building and stage alone is worth visiting! I've been coming here for many years and never knew this jewel was here.

This second-floor theatre has been converted into a variety of boutiques selling antiques, collectibles and junque. There is some old motion-picture equipment on display. The walk up the long staircase to the second floor may be difficult for some, particularly on a hot day in this non-AC building, and the lettering on the stair risers, denying the existence of a... It needs a little TLC but don't let the exterior fool you ... go in! There are a lot of stories in those old floor boards. Re-purposed to an antique store/museum, this property is a "diamond in the rough". The stage area and the balcony opposite, are a step back in time. I hope they are able to restore this... More

Walking up the creaking old wooden stairs is like walking through a porthole in time. The old Opera House/Theater is full of treasures for sale from the past. The real value of a visit here is the architecture and history of the building. Visitors can walk up onto and behind the stage. Slow down, take a few minutes, and just... More
