My wife and I both love books. We were touring Apalachicola and found this in the downtown area. I have limited mobility, so I found a table in the back while my wife browsed. In the back they have a complete supply for the knitter with every variety of yarn known to man in a neat arrangement about the room.... More

This is one of the shops I visit EVERY time I'm in Apalachicola. I've been traveling to Apalachicola every year for the past three years and this is always on my list of must-stops. The owner is super friendly and the book selection is Bette than would be expected for a small owner-operated book store. It's a definite must-shop place!

We visit St. George island each year and never miss a chance to stop in town and visit this nifty little shop. This shop is small, but it has a varied selection for readers young and old, plus a yarn section in the back.

During an afternoon in Apalachicola my husband and I spent some time in this sweet, local bookstore. Complete with a sleeping cat that tolerates customers, this store makes you want to support local establishments. Good reads on Florida history, current best sellers and children's books.

If any of you remember the romantic comedy movie "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, this little book store with knitting material fits the title "The Shop Around the Corner". I don't know much about the knitting material, but the books offered are up-to-date, all genres as well as being indicative of the area. The store owner... More

What a lovely little store - with friendly, helpful staff. There are many different books, games, cards, etc. filling a very small area but something for every taste. If you want books or information about the area they have it all. I like to give my business to these small book sellers in the hope that they will thrive in... More

This is your one stop destination for books about Florida and especially local books. You will find the latest beach read as well as classics and intriguing new reads. Dail's taste is impeccable. The store offers children's literature as well as adult reads. There is a wide selection of nature guides. Oh and, if you knit or crochet, better check... More

This is one of the places we have to stop every time we visit, which has been over the past 8 years. The staff is among the friendliest in town. They have great books for a variety of people. Even if you do not like to read, you will love this store.

A really cool bookstore in Apalachicola with a nice selection of current books and also ones on the Florida Panhandle, Apalachicola, and its environment and characters. The co-owner Dale Julian knows the area and the books about it that matter and can steer you straight. Books and Purl also has a very nice yarn shop for those who knit. And... More
