After visiting with John, owner of the junk -ahem- "bric-a-brac" store across the street, we bee-lined to this confectionary. Our noses were greeted with a most delightful blend of chocolate and coffee. Local made chocolates and house roasted coffee is the mainstay of this simple, nondescript shop. They don't take credit card! So George (proprietor) said he would take an... More

We stopped for a chocolate on our way out of town after browsing in all the cute shops. Although, the man behind the counter would not recommend a chocolate once we selected the milk chocolate with almonds, he said we made a good choice as they are made out of fine Venezuelan chocolate. It was a fantastic snack!!

Homemade cinnamon rolls were outstanding. Coffee was smooth and good. The chocolate peanut butter tasted like recesses peanut butter cups. Home made coconut pie was very good. Nice little shop.

We were surprised to find such high quality chocolates in this little historic town! The proprietor served us and took the time to talk with us about how to keep the chocolates until eaten. It isn't cheap chocolate but it is quality and delicious, as is the gelato!!

While touring around Apalachicola we stopped in to enjoy some gelato. We had lime and it was very refreshing. Nice break on a hot day.

We were hoping to pick up some goodies but were pretty disappointed here. The selection was very small and the quality of chocolate was not good. We did have gelato that was ok.

Unfortunately the chocolate oysters aren't always available but chocolate turtles are and they're delicious. Try the oysters if you can but you can't go wrong. The gelato is a great refreshing snack on a hot afternoon.
