Gorgeous stretch of beach with sea oats and lush vegetation. Walk from Rod and Reel or by parking on the residential streets and walking down beach access paths. No facilities so come prepared. Water can be rough especially at the point so be careful with young kids. Otherwise gorgeous place to relax and collect shells. We saw dolphins, a manatee... More

The gulf side of Bean Point, at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island, is one of the nicest beaches you'll find anywhere. Recent replenishments have made it several hundred feet wide and running quite a ways along the shore. The sand on AM is as sugary as any we've ever seen and the point is fantastic. This beach is... We had so much fun at this beach. It was perfect and the water was great. Great place to have some family fun. We found a lot of great sea shells and got to experience a lot of shells with live oysters and crabs. It was an amazing time. Lots of birds and wildlife everywhere. By the way my profile... More

Not a good place for visitors and day trippers. Go to Lido or Siesta Key for more friendly reception.

So peaceful here and the sand is so white. Beautiful to just sit and watch the waves at the edge of the island.

Unusually, the wind was making it too rough to swim on the Gulf beach but as soon as we rounded the point it was calm and beautiful. Great view of skyway bridge. Lovely pine trees. Gorgeous.

Natural vegetation and very soft sand. The water really was a beautiful emerald green. Didn't really like seeing the fishermen on the shore, always wonder if some of those hooks snap and end up in the sand.

Beautiful wide white sand beach to enjoy the Gulf. Or sit on the bench under the trees. Beautiful place to spend the day at the beach!!

Thanks to trip advisor and other peoples reviews, we headed over from our "home base" Orlando. It took almost 3 hours because traffic is a nightmare. I'll say it was worth the trip. We used the suggestion of parking at Rod and Reels fishing pier and walked North. We did get lunch at Rod and Reels and used the restrooms... More

I personally feel that if you don't go to Bean point while staying or visiting the island then you have truly missed the best part!!! There is no parking at Bean point but if using a car you can park at the Bayside park and walk. It isn't too far from the Rod and Reel pier. My daughter and I... More
