This national park has everything from a beach on the lake to bike trails and hiking! Love this park is my new go to relaxation area and the best park is you don't have to drive far to get to it. It's literally in the middle of a suburban area. I say bring sunscreen and a picnic basket and ur... More

We are on a 6 week road trip around Colorado. For our first leg, we wanted to stay in the Denver area as our daughter lives in Lakewood. We found the Cherry Creek State Park thru Good Sam and decided to try it. We are traveling with a new 5th wheel Toy Hauler. The spaces are spacious and the entire... More

One of the best dog parks in the Denver area. Lots of trails and water access. Since the "remodel" better waste receptacles, nice areas along the creek for the humans and the dogs. The paths are ok, they have been washed away in heavy rain but are being repaired.

Use the entrance off of Orchard And Parker Rd to access the park. There are several different trails that lead to the water. The creek runs through this part of the park and dogs love getting wet and playing. Also, the creek is a nice place for dogs to cool off during hot days.

Cherry Creek State Park is a neat lake to visit with picnic grounds and if you have the time even a boat ramp. Presently very full of water so some of the trails are flooded but as summer continues these will dry out.

This park is right in the city of Aurora and it is BIG. The lake is nice and small beach. The trail around the lake is a 7 mile run close to lake and 17 mile run on outer loop

Beautiful large expanses of untouched grassland, wetlands and hiking trails. A safe place for dogs to play off leash! Even horseback riding at a nearby stable takes you through the beautiful countryside, even though it is smack dab in the middle of a big city. Exiting the park you remember how close this beautiful scenic park is. Large lake for... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The park is so pretty with great birds flying around. Very quiet, private with spacious spots. We thought the price was good, even with the $9.00 a day park fee. We had full hookups. It was great to walk, jog, bike ride. There is a beach too. We stayed here in an Motorhome.

I went shooting but so many things to do. If you're in the area, you must take a look. Great views and only $9 per car. Or bike or hike is free.
