I love this place! It's amazingly huge and great to run out all that puppy energy. They renovated the area by the creek and it looks gorgeous! It's a great place to get your workout in with your dog. I especially like it because I can't run with my dog on leash, so the off leash area is great for... More

This is a getaway right in the middle of a large city. When you are in the park you forget that there are houses, shopping centers and freeways near. Deer, turkeys and coyotes aree all around you. Sites are well spaced and level. Staff is friendly and always ready ti assist you. Love this park.

Love Cherry Creek State Park. This park is located in the center of the city (Parker road and Quincy) not far from major Denver metro suburbs. This wonderful state park is very peaceful and super relaxing. This park has something for everyone...running trails, biking trails, campground, a shooting range, beach for swimming and a marina with lots of water related... More

$9 without a dog and $11 with and no military discount. Aurora and Denver have other locations that don't have that cost, to do similar activities. Not a fan of the separate fee when attending other attractions inside the park.

If you can't get out of the city, this is the next best thing. The natural prairie environment with distant mountain views might make you forget you are in a city of 2 million people. There are lots of wildlife that you wouldn't think would be here this close to subdivisions and shopping centers. We have seen foxes, cyotes, prairie... More

What a find! This is a great state park just outside of Denver. Close to everything, yet so peaceful and relaxing. There are trails everywhere, lots of bike trails, a lake complete with beach, a marina, a huge off leash dog park, and lots of wildlife. I've seen bald eagles every day since I arrived, two kinds of deer, ducks,... More

I live south of Cherry Creek State Park and realized after paying for a few day visits, I was better off just buying a State Park pass which will let us in to any State Park. So what will you see when you go there? Well, first of all, there's the lake itself where they have sailing, boating of all... More

I've lived here since 1969 and watched the transition of Cherry Creek State Park. New York does a better job at maintaining a nature experience than Colorado. It's a decent place for off leash dogs at the dog park if you don't mind people who either walk past you and ignore any respectful hellos or freaks that believe their dog... More

We often visit Cherry Creek State Park and wanted to share our experiences. The park is large with a great lake and marina. Some of its other features include a huge dog park where animals are allowed to run free, miles of walking/running/bike paths, an RV campground, model airplane airfield, lake fishing, picnic areas (for groups as well) and a... We visited this State Park last fall. It is just 10 min ride from a friend's pace in Aurora. The fall colors were still there. Unfortunately, I do not have a boat. Otherwise the fund would have been just much more. It is still a great place to unwind, have picnics without spending a lot of time to just drive... More
