I love this park. I used to bike around the park, 12 miles and it was always good. I dont like that they have a shooting range in the park. It kind of makes sure that all the animals (deer, etc) never come out. It is self-defeating. I would suggest they remove the shooting range.

We enjoyed an afternoon picnic at Chery Creek State Park. There is plenty of shade available and parking. Many people of our group enjoyed swimming in the lake. Would have gotten a better review had the sinks been working in the bathrooms. Nice touch though, they have an ice and soft drink vending machines.

What is not to like about a beach and boating? They have a nice marina to eat at and plenty of trails for bikes and hiking. Bikers and hikers are free.

There's a swim beach, plenty of trails, a wet land area, boat marina and so much more. We love to fish here too.

I walked to the reservoir, the trails were in great shape and would be perfect for biking. The park was a good urban park but not worth a detour.

Cherry Creek State Park offers a variety of activities. One can hike, bike, practice their marksmanship, boat or swim. We have visited the swim beach a few times and it was fun with lots of sand for the kids to play with and nice spots to picnic while you are there. Check their site though. Last time we went for... Great park with lots to do, walk/run, bike, boat, fish, kayak, etc. The dog park is wonderful but you have to pay extra.

Boating, biking, hiking, off-leash dog park, that is the largest in the country! A great place to kick back and just relax!

Cherry Creek Park has been a #1 go to destination from 1982 and we still spend time there... be it for a picnic, a morning bike ride, weekend camping or just a nice relaxing drive. It is nice not to have to drive for hours to camp and amenities are so close!! Love it! Love it!
