The ice fishing at Aurora Reservoir Is awesome! After I learned to love this sport, I came here on a regular basis to ice fish and catch (usually my limit very time) of trout and perch. Of course, in the warmer weather seasons, I'd rent a small skiff and go out and fish away! Great place for families!

Visited the Aurora Reservoir several times, latest in June to see the AF Thunderbirds!! What a show! Earlier we had a sailboat and went to the reservoir to sail our boat, sans engine since motors re not allowed. Fun sails, especially when the winds come up!!!!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Colorado, and we were looking for a place that had an open area for us to canoe or kayak. This reservoir has different types of activities, and boats you can rent (for a very cheap price, might I add). We had a blast! We rented a canoe for two hours, and were free to... More

Visited here recently; have been here before. A nice little sliver of nature in an area that does not have much going for it (in my opinion). Inexpensive, easy to access, and nice to walk around, or perhaps fish if you want a tame sort of fishing adventure. Lots of seniors fish here during the week, I do know. Have... More

We live by this reservoir and walk on it almost daily. It really is a wonderful, peaceful place. There's 8.5 miles of paved multi-use trails that run entirely around then reservoir. There's no power boating or Jet Ski allowed so the water is crystal clear and the area is kept peaceful as such. There's also a swimming beach and boat... More

We went for the airshow and were very impressed with the place. It boasts the largest beach in Colorado. Looking at the facilities, they have done a marvelous job with making this a multi use destination. It's beautiful with a great view of the mountains as well.

Many amenities. The swim beach is clean and is a safe place for kids to paddle around in the summer heat. No worries about people on jet skis ripping through the wake less area. Nice archery range and designated scuba area. The visibility is not great but I don't worry again about being run over by an errant ski boat.... More

Aurora has done a great job keeping up the trails, park and reservoir. Nice and peaceful at times and a good place to relax.

The Aurora Reservoir is nice spot for picnic and running. This place is beautiful and has everything: fishing, boating, biking, picnicking, swimming, running (with mile markers) and paddle boarding. This place can crowded on weekends unless you come early. Daily entrance is $10 per vehicle or $55 annually (well worth it if you live near by).

This is a beautiful area, and has many things to do. If you can walk in through the adjoining neighborhood, then even better. But $10 a car and then $25 for a canoe/paddleboat is pretty pricey.
