This is such a beautiful area. It's just breath taking. The lake is crystal clear and there were lots of wildflowers. In the summer generally you need to take the shuttle to get there, but you can drive before 9am. We got there about 8:00 and the parking lot was pretty full already. Early in the day is a great... Good for kids and people that don't want to work to hard. Mostly flat walk around the lake with a beaver hutch on the far side.

Beautiful scenery, takes about 2-3 hrs depending on how fast you want to go, and how much time you take. Can also hike from there to the upper lake

This was honestly the best hike I have ever taken! The scenery was gorgeous in all directions! I took the free guided tour around Maroon Lake and the guides were very informative. It was amazing!

Such peace and beauty and FUN! We saw two moose across the lake. The water was blue, it was a sunny day with a gorgeous sky, the backdrop of the snow covered mountains just added the finishing touch not to mention the wildflowers.

This was a nice and scenic trail around the Maroon Lake. There were babies and strollers all over the place, definitely a family hike for beginners, but also a must for experienced hikers!

I took the easy trail around Maroon Lake. It is easy to navigate but a bit crowded on the weekends. Everyone is very friendly, the bus driver will give you a guided trip up but on the way back were quiet. At that point everyone is tired and they seem to understand this.

My wife and I decided to go up to Maroon Lake, and this decision did not disappoint. The view from Maroon Lake is absolutely beautiful.

This was a gorgeous easy trail to walk with family members of any age. I would love to see this area in the fall when the aspen are golden but it is beautiful any time of year.
