If you see my review of Cathedral Lake you will find this is much of the same review. Less popular than nearby cathedral lake, this hike is well worth the effort. It's steep and challenging but you are rewarded with a beautiful alpine lake in a majestic setting. As always, bring lots of water, lunch, and rain gear.

The uphills ro start with are very challenging but the rest a a great physical workout. It took us flat landers about 2 hours up (taking breaks to take photos) and 1 1/2 hours back down. Gorgeous views and terrain. The lake was totally peaceful.
