After having spent 30+ years visiting Colorado 2x a year, I never had the pleasure of going during the Fall (Sept-Oct) and can't believe what I have been missing!!! We were staying with friends in Carbondale and made the drive to Maroon Bells. The drive there was full of color and provided a fantastic backdrop to the Bells. Maroon Bells... More

This spot is a must-see for Aspen travelers! It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful spots in the country. It's just a short hike from the parking lot to the lake below the bells. Remember that during the summer, access is restricted after 9 AM and visitor will have to get on a small bus in order... More

The scenery was beautiful...not just of the famous mountain peaks but the surrounding mountains as well. There is also a nice creek and some hiking trails into the woods (did not hike due to fear of bears). If you are a photographer or just love taking photos, then this is the place for you!

Colorado mountain beauty at its finest. Beautiful stands of aspen, good amount of elevation but no extreme grades, lovely destination at one of the most photographed sites in the Rockies.

We went out here to get the Iconic Rocky Mountain Picture. So amazing. It snowed the night before so it was cold and we couldn't stay long. But if your in the area go here and check it out. I got lots of great pictures. Just wish the weather was warmer to hike around the area.

Very few places in the country provide the majesty of the winter's first snow contrasted by the yellow Sspen leaves.

There is a reason they are said to be the most photographed mountains in CO! Absolutely stunning and should be seen if coming to CO.
