Great snow

Perfect time skiing with grandchildren at Snowmass. The variety of runs was great for the different levels of skiers. Runs were well groomed considering the need for more snow.

I've been visiting aspen with my family since I was very young, and I really have very few complaints about Aspen Skiing Company. The mountains are extreemly well maintained, and there are so many runs to choose from that you really never run out of options. Both skiing and snowboarding lessons are excellent, and even in group lessons you feel... More

I don't mean this as a comment on the Aspen Skiing co., but rather, Aspen Mountain. It's my favorite. I certainly haven't skied everywhere, but extensively in New England (I know, it's apples and oranges), Summit County, and north Tahoe.

Painful. A vanity trap; all about money. Basically hugely overcharged for the access of white river natl forest. Same hotels as every where else at 1000percent markup. The biggest rip off in the country.

Since we couldn't go to a more affordable world-class ski resort in BC, Canada, we booked a third year of ski holidays and conference in Colorado. Many international airports offer flights to Vail's Eagle airport or to Aspen, but the times are limited, and these regional airports shut down frequently due to weather warnings. Thus, our drive comprised 5 hours... More

The is a professional outfit with a demanding clientele. They need to get the service right, as they do. From buying lift tickets to loading skiers through the gates utilising RFID technology onto the Silver Queen Gondola and onto groomed mountains, they have a slick operation that works. We had no complaints, only praise. Vail now needs to emulate this... More

Been coming here since 1976. Some of the best resorts in the world, thankfully all under one ticket. For size, variety, and ski school quality, it's hard to beat Snowmass. For all three factors, a reason to come here with large groups. Something for everyone. However, dramatic price increases are getting out of hand. Great place, just not sure of... More

Even on a hot summer day a ride (@ $ 28 per person uphill, free downhill) in one of the ski lift gondolas to the top of the Aspen Mountain was a trip. You get a terrific view of the city of Aspen from the gondola as it makes its trip up and down the mountain. There is a restaurant... More

Trying to book lessons for my beginner kids was an experience in futility and bad advice. Not sure which was worse - having to buy a package with lift tickets were included (even though we already had them) and told to come back after skiing for a refund (really - why did we have to jump through hoops?), or my... Ski magazines often rank each of Aspen's four mountains separately. This is a disservice as all four mountains are really one resort, with one ski pass and connected transportation. My guess is that they rank each mountain separateley because otherwise Aspen would be ranked #1 every year! There is a ski mountain for everyone. Buttermilk is just excellent for beginners... More
