We come here again and again. I suppose the most famous artist we saw was the Temptations but most any talent there is quite entertaining. This past winter we saw Keb Mo. Don't miss this guy. He was an acoustic blues guitarist and singer with 3 Emmys to his credit. The balcony was redone last year so the seating up... More

The Wheeler Opera House was build in 1889 so there's plenty of history. Its probably the best sounding theater in the West. Loved it.

We've attended numerous concerts and events at the WOH. All have been great experiences. This happened to be the Judy Collins concert. Had to laugh when we entered as the usher looked at a young couple and commented "wow, someone under 40". The venue has an updated sound system and other improvements. If you are in Aspen it pays to... More

The recently renovated opera house was the site of a film screening recently. It has experienced a complete redo, but retains all of its old charm. The balcony has been reworked for more legroom. There is truly not a bad seat in the house.

Perfect size to host talents from Monty Python, to the Eagles, to Aspen Dance Connection!! This little gem of a Victorian theatre, was built by Jerome B Wheeler(CEO of Macy's), during silver mining days and after refurbishing, is a gorgeous venue, in Aspen, for any kind of performance/film event!!

A stop at the Wheeler Opera house is a must. The history surrounding the facility is very enlightening and getting a whole lesson from a knowledgeable Aspenite was great.

The Wheeler is the venue for the Aspen Music Festival Master Opera Classes conducted by Edward Berkeley, himself a work of art. Wheeler is an ideal venue, comfortable and with good acoustics. Ed is a most articulate and humorous teacher, always constructive, he loves his singing students and works on their acting. The students are competent. The two hour classes... More

Really quality Opera at reasonable prices... We sat in the second to last row and were closer to the stage than most theaters we have attended. A very intimate way to experience opera.

Unfortunately it was closed when I went up there so I never got to see a show or go inside but the building is very nice. I will make sure to catch a show next time I am in town. I have heard only great things.
