In July, we took our family of eight to Aspen to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were married at the Aspen Chapel in 1974. Everyone loved Aspen and we had a spectacular time. On a previous visit, my wife and I enlisted Dean Weiler for a Past/Present Tour and found it very interesting. This time we booked the Off... More

We had a great time on The Darkside Tour. Dean did a wonderful job of incorporating some local history, spooky stories and a sense of drama in our evening. We had our 9 yr. old and teenager on the tour and both were very entertained. I love to do these ghost walk/creepy local history nighttime tours in most every city... More

My wife and I took the Off the Beaten Path Tour earlier this month. We started from the Wheeler Opera House, walked through the Victorian neighborhood, and walked along nature paths to the river. It was so much better than expected! First of all, Dean did a very good job. He was passionate about the tour, and we appreciated it... More

The Darkside Tour was really fun. We were the only two people on the tour and I wondered initially if it might be cut short, but it wasn't. We got the whole hour and it was packed with cool stories about Aspen. I liked that we got to see so much of downtown and Dean had answers to my many... More

Dean offered an excellent perspective of Aspen's history, and being on foot was a great way to see the town! I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning little known facts about this gem in the Colorado Rockies.

I am so happy I did this tour. Dean gave an interesting and engaging look into Aspen's history and colorful past, and the 90 minutes flew by. This is a great way to get to know such a charming town.

We took both tours and while they covered some of the same physical areas, the stories were different and added to each other. I have been in Aspen many times and I learned more about some of the history along the way but he tours still added to that info to make it a worthwhile addition to our visit to... More

My father and I were looking for something to do one night, and we decided on the Darkside Tour. Dean was an excellent guide, he really knows his stuff. He was very considerate of everyone in the group, and never failed to surprise me. We were lucky enough to attend on a dark and stormy night, which made it all... More

I had some free time alone and I chose Dean's Past to Present walking tour. Dean was very knowledgeable and made the walk interesting and fun. While there isn't a great deal to cover, Dean kept our interest and gave me all the tools I need to take friends around the town of Aspen. Dean has a very nice and... More

We have now been on 3 of the 4 Historical Tours by Dean (Aspen Walking Tours); all except the Cemetery tour on Halloween. By far my favorite was Past to Present so if you can only do one, then that is the one I recommend. However, if you have been on Past to Present, I recommend trying the other tours.... More
