It is a beautiful sanctuary just minutes walking from downtown Aspen. Situated on the Roaring Fork River with gorgeous views all around.

We stumbled upon this attraction, when strolling around the town. I'm not a huge John Denver fan, but remember him and his music fondly, from my childhood. It's really a beautiful park with many references to his lyrics, some inscribed in stone. It was really nice and I would go back, if I return to Aspen

The John Denver Sanctuary used to be my favorite place in town. A little oasis of calm and quiet just a few steps away from the Aspen core. In the past few years the institutional encroachment from the "non permanent" Aspen Theatre structure and the remodeling of the area by The City of Aspen for "drainage" has reduced the natural... Taking a day off from skiing and bored of walking through the town? I suggest a walk through John Denver Park. Check out the rocks, rivers and the beautiful ski chalets in the area.

Our friend and local guide brought us to visit this beautiful garden and memorial to John Denver. The flowers were beautiful with a wild organization that I can only hope to recreate in my home garden. I enjoyed the song lyrics etched on the rocks.

Simply the most peaceful place like John Denver was (and still is)! A definite must see when one goes to Aspen.

Music makes pictures and often tells stories, all of them magic, all of them true. The music is you. Feel what John felt about Aspen and these mountains, while you reflect on his contributions to your understanding

If you are looking for a great place to explore and get in touch with one of Aspen's favorite sons, this is the place. You'll find yourself humming and singing John Denver's classic songs that not only capture the essence of Colorado's mountain experience, but put you in touch with this great American musical artist.

This is a worthwhile place to visit while in Aspen. A friend and I spent some time walking through as part of a longer hike. It's in a pretty setting, and the exhibits are interesting.
