Beautiful tribute to John Denver. The place is Beautiful, steams, rocks with his songs engraved on them. Also his grave stone. Beautiful wild flowers. A nice theater near by, which I wish we had the time to see. A nice place to eat and picnic. If you go off the beaten track wacth out for posion ivy. The town around... More

This may be one the best laid out parks in the country. Its got water features and tons of little private coves you can sneak off into. Tons of big rocks make for some very intimate little places to sit and listen to the babbling water. Little corners with picnic tables or stone benches are really cool. The wild flowers... More

Whoever did the landscape design for the John Denver Sanctuary should get a medal (and maybe he/she did!) because it is beautiful. Definitely worth the short walk from town to sit and meditate, picnic and enjoy the flowers. Theatre Aspen is VERY lucky to have this in their backyard.

A beautiful little park that is covered in flowers, green, water and serenity. Dogs were all over the place (even though the sign said they must be on a leash...never saw a single dog on a leash). The rocks have been imprinted with Denver's songs and a fellow was there playing his guitar. I really liked the rock pathway that... More

I visited this lovely sanctuary/garden after being told about it by the young women working at the visitor center (near the underground parking garage). I love John Denver's music. When I arrived I played 'Rocky Mountain High' on my Iphone in trubute to Mr. Denver. I took my time strolling through the sanctuary, stopping to read each of the song... More

This is a very wonderful and tasteful sanctuary. I could have seen most of this online in picture but pictures just do not do this place justice. It is very moving and a good place to remember an incredible man who had so much talent. Well worth the trip.

Great, scenic and peaceful place in downtown Aspen. Words of John Denver songs on rock monuments. Quite a tribute. It will "fill up your senses."

Aspen has done a wonderful job making a santuary for John Denver. The huge boulders and wild flowers are absolutely beautiful. The words to several of Denver's songs are etched into the boulders. We enjoyed this pathway twice while visiting in Apsen.

Seeing as we stumbled across this by accident, expectations were zero, and it was a pleasant surprise. My kids and I walked on a path alongside a beautiful, tree-lined mountain river, ending up in the park. There were many people there with dogs...leashes were not used, and really not necessary, the dogs were adorable and all well behaved. We were... More

Beautiful setting and fantastic presentation of many great songs. I would normally give this five stars and would have if the large crowd of young day care children who were allowed to run wild around the sanctuary and pick the carefully placed flowers had not been there when I was. It turned into a nightmare watching this go on in... More
