This park is a little hard to find but there is a big parking garage that cost us $1.50 for an hour and you probably won't need much more time for this park than that. It's a small garden with many stones with various quotes from some of John Denver's songs or sayings. Certainly nice to have this quiet place... More

I visited the John Denver Sanctuary on a rainy Saturday. It is an amazing place with trails wildflowers, trees and inspirational quotes and song lyrics from John Denver and other poets, song writers, and conservationists. The amazing natural filter garden and the John Denver song garden were beautiful. I would have enjoyed hiking the trails more, but the weather was... More

We happened upon this fabulous park in aspen. Very lovely landscaping. John Denver Songs engraved in the rocks and beautiful space along the river. Great for kids to walk and explore. Not hard walking for kids. And really fun for the whole family.

This place was hand built to be a perfect sanctuary. The flowers, trees, bushes and grasses are camera ready. The engraved HUGE stones with words from famous people as well as the words to John Denver songs are emotional and memorable. Just sit along the river on a bench made from a huge rock, and you just feel yourself relax!

The most densely colorful part of Aspen. Hands down. The sanctuary has no admission, gates, or formality. Just walk over to the park and enjoy. Glide barefoot along smooth rock paths, small wooden bridges and soft, cool grass. When Theatre Aspen has a production, enjoy a beverage or snack from the concession stand, while you take in the scenery.

A beautiful sanctuary like none I have even seen. The boulders, the stream and the inspirational quotes make this a must journey-take your camera. The lyrics of his songs on the boulders bring back memories of my younger years. You can take 15 minutes to stroll though or stop and just relax. A beautiful inspirational garden! The children will like... More

The John Denver Sanctuary is simple, beautiful and a real sanctuary. We were delighted to find that it is a living, breathing place where you can sit quietly and contemplate or enjoy time with others. There are many quiet areas with the bubble of streams and beautiful flowers. The lyrics and quotations carved into the rocks are well chosen and... More

You don't have to be a fan of country music to appreciate the lyrics of John Denver's music. It is a s relevant today as ever.
