80% Expert, 20% Intermediate, NO BEGINNER. Great 3 & 4 Star Black Diamond for upper back Bowls. Steepest ski area in Aspen. They use to hold 24 hours of Aspen , where there was a 24 hour Downhill race with 30-50 teams. You can almost ski off bottom of mtn into downtown shops, (ALMOST). One of my favorite mountains once... This is such a beautiful mountain!!! I am not the best skier but just ok. I couldn't really ski the entire mountain, but took the gondola up and skied the blues up top all day. Just make sure they don't shut down the gondola for winds or anything, or you may be skiing all the way down unplanned. If you... More

No Green runs. Magnificent view, high-speed skiing, long and challenging runs, great rental places and gear shops... What to complain of?

I love this mountain and the fact you can get to the top in 15 mins and have the whole mountain at your disposal is the best. It has hardly any lift lines and on a blue bird day, its heaven!

If the temperature drops below freezing in the late afternoon, the steep lower slopes will ice up fast, making for a very dangerous last run of the day for intermediates and some experts.

Its the best, fantastic expert runs, but avoid it if you are not at least a very good intermediate. Not for beginners or less experienced intermediates. Has some nice blue runs at the top, but then to get down there is Kleenex Corner and dodging the crowds at the end of the day, Favorite expert run is International into Silver... More

I was a bit intimidated on my first day and found the blues a bit more steep and a bit more challenging than typical blues. I also found the skiers to be a bit more hard core and the staff not a friendly as nearby Snowmass. However, as the first day progressed, I fell in love. I spent the whole... More

Every time I eat Chinese food I promise myself never to eat it again. My last visit to Aspen about 15 years ago prompted me to promise myself never to return...but, I broke that promise just like I have with Chinese food. Anyhow the promise made 15 years ago was precipitated by our commercial flight out of Aspen airport being... More

In addition to having spectacular scenery the entire area was one of the most welcoming places I have ever visited. This includes Ajax, Buttermilk, and Snowmass mountains.
