A gem of a mountain which happens to be right in the center of town! Great for summer hiking and terrific skiing! Love it

I did not ski Aspen Mountain, but my friend and I took the gondola to the top. The views are breathtaking! I overheard a few people mention this one of the tougher mountains to ski. Perfect backdrop to Aspen.

Great little mountain, walking distance from town with more challenging runs than Snowmass or Buttermilk. Has longer opening season than other mountains and ideal if you like apres ski straight off the mountain

While locals were complaining about the conditions—hard in the morning and slushy in the afternoon—as an Easterner on vacation, I was thrilled. I skied two full days and made the most of them. It's a wonderful mountain, and I hope to return.

I love nature, and I loved Aspen's Mountain! The 14 minute trip to the top is simply amazing. April is not a great month to visit Aspen, because downhill the snow is almost gone, the great thing is that at the top you still touch powder snow. The restaurant offers decent meals. This is not a beginners ski place, this... More

I know I was there late in the season. Ajax just seems to be a bit tamed down if coverage is lacking on the steeps. Take these out of play and the variety of terrain drops dramatically.

Great place to stop for lunch or to grab a few drinks at the end of the day. Pricey but not out of line for where it's located,

This is not a mountain for beginners, but decent and expert skiers will enjoy it. Probably has the best food of any of the mountain restaurants I visited in the area.

Not a mountain for the weak of skill. If your just learning or even with a few years under your belt, you would enjoy Snowmass much more. This is a steep tough mountain with amazing trails and one of the more epic ski views in Colorado. The dining is not bad up top and the apres ski is ample and... More

I got up early for 'first tracks' on Ajax mountain for the last 5 days of my 14 day stay in Aspen and I wish I'd started this morning ritual on day one. We were lucky with dumps of snow while we were there and one morning, after 11 inches of snowfall the night before, were snowboarding through powder up... More
