These trails are accessible after the gondola ride on Aspen mountain. Nature trail is simple and shaded with views of the forest. Richmond trail is wide and a fairly easy hike. The view at the very top is amazing!! It's totally worth the time and effort.

I'm calling it my favorite because the views are amazing!! We rode the gondolas up on a Sunday. At the top, a bluegrass band was playing, while families sat and enjoyed the music and children played games nearby. We ate lunch at the restaurant, which was a little pricy but well worth it! We ate outside and enjoyed the nice... More

Went mountain biking down from the top of the mountain. Take the gondola up and enjoy a great ride all the way down. Good food and drink when you get there. Your hands will be so tired from the downhill it will be hard to hold a drink when you get to the bar

Whilst we were staying in Aspen the chair lifts were only open at weekends and hence if you wanted to see any of the mountains you had to do it the hard way, on foot. We stumbled across the Ajax Trail whilst walking up the mountain one day and it provided a beautiful scenic end to our walk.

Aspean mountain road - Great place for running and jogging uphill during this time of the year. Some snow left in the higher altitudes. I have enjoied it 100%. Can go down by the Aspen mountain gondola.

I'm biased because I get to live at the foot of this mountain, but I never tire of taking advantage of that. Lovely hiking trails and vistas, or take the gondola to the top to enjoy fabulous food and incredible views. The hike up can be challenging, but there is also a jeep trail up the backside for a different... More

Ajax is a beautiful mountain to ski as long as you are not a beginner. Love the views of downtown Aspen & the shrines

I did not ski Aspen Mountain, but my friend and I took the gondola to the top. The views are breathtaking! I overheard a few people mention this one of the tougher mountains to ski. Perfect backdrop to Aspen.

Great little mountain, walking distance from town with more challenging runs than Snowmass or Buttermilk. Has longer opening season than other mountains and ideal if you like apres ski straight off the mountain
