Nice trail for the most part, easy for families to ride. The trail leads easily to the beach and pier for easy access to shopping, beach, restaurants and other activities.

This trail is well maintained, paved and is a relaxing walk to the beach. There are some areas that are shaded with trees and sections without. It is good exercise. Be on the lookout for bikers and joggers. There is an abundance of both in the AM. People are friendly with a quick hello when passing by. Our hotel, Avila... More

Every time we have walked this short trail, we have encountered very few people, so it is quite peaceful.

This is an easy, fairly level trail. Very well marked and easy to follow. Plenty of shade even in summer. We biked it and it was pleasant to see so many families enjoying the trail. Started our ride in Pismo and rode to Avila and back.

Great way to walk to Avila Beach---smooth bike trails and accessible for walkers and dogs on leash also. You can stop in Avila for coffee or head further to the Port San Luis.

We stayed in Avila Beach recently and enjoyed starting our days with either a walk, run or bike trip on the trail. Very peaceful as you travel through the shaded trail past the creek, golf course and out to the beach. Saw Steelhead trout, Blue Herons and pelicans as well.

Goes from US 101 to Avila Beach away from roads and traffic...an easy 2mile walk or ride..during summer months it can be quite busy...it is also much too short for true bikers looking for exercise and a longer route

We stopped by Avila beach on our way from from Cambria. Decided to do this bike trail. It was a nice little ride. Its about 5.5 miles and took about 45 minutes. Beautiful ride through a golf course and along the river.

Great approximately 6 mile round trip paved trail by a golf course and oaks. Mostly flat with slight inclines. Good for walking, bike riding, or skating.
