This was our first time at a miniature golf - we all had fun. Come as soon as it opens as it gets busy around noon. You don't want to feel rushed when people are waiting for you to exit the green. Give yourself a little over an hour for a party of 3 to complete 18 holes.
Wow one of the best miniature golf courses we've ever played. Super 2 and 3 hole combination holes. Would recommend to everyone.
Was better than I expected for such a small place. But it has 18 holes and they are challenging! And the area was beautiful! A great way to spend a couple of hours!
We've been to play miniature golf here several times. This ingenious little course beats kid-theme-oriented courses any day. The obstacles and challenges are fun. The garden is well-tended, nicely labeled and educational. Each time we swear we'll bring the kids back. Next time we will.
Enjoyed the course. Great holes but would have been better is the holes were cleaned of leaves/twigs, etc. A nice vacuuming/sweeping would have helped. Also, because of the elaborate holes, it plays very slowly. Don't go if you have a time limit.
Sure the place is crowded and the holes maybe long in the tooth. But Everyone plays mini golf when visiting Catalina! The grounds are nice. The pace is slow so expect 90 mins for 18 holes. But it is fun for all ages.
We have been here a handful of times and our visit in March was far superior. The grounds are lovely and tidy. I ended up taking more photos of the flowers than of my family golfing. Don't let the size fool you-it is a tough course!
This mini golf course was more difficult than expected! We enjoyed learning more about the island as we made our way to each hole, and liked that they offered a cheaper replay price for a second round.
We were very pleasantly surprised by this terrific little course. Each hole provides information about the island, the design of the course is unique and challenging, and it's like wandering through a botanical garden as an added bonus.
The mini golf gardens are a staple of most day trips to Avalon. Unfortunately in the past several years the island company seems less concerned with keeping this site up.
