This is a great way to get people underwater who don't scuba. Nice tour with lots of kelp forests and fish.

We took the city tour and the country side tour to the airport. Both were fun and informative. We enjoyed both for the information and history of the city and the terrain and wildlife on the way to and from the airport.

I chose this tour because I saw youtube videos of the Nautilus going among the kelp forest. Unfortunately, there is no more kelp forest as of 2015. All I saw was the yellow low-growing invasive type. I asked the Nautilus crew and they said the kelp forest died in 2014 from the warming ocean water, and not expected to come... More

There are TWO choices...so be sure you are choosing the right company!! SO enjoyed the GBB Tour...it was reasonably price $15 per person for senior or AAA I believe. The waters are SO clear, the trip was right out of the harbor, and the fish were plentiful!! The guide was informative, friendly, relaxed, she pointed out many other points of... More

The water in the harbor is extremely clear, so it was easy to see fish. However, the company does not bother to tell you the names of the fish, except for the opal eye, not even the garibaldi rated a mention. They get the fish to swim right up to the window by shooting out food from time to time,... More

I highly recommend the Safari adventure tour ! Informative fun and amazing views as you travel in an open air Military style troop transport up through Rugged terrain to the Avalon Airport and back with many many tips and stories about the Wrigleys , Zane Gray and details of the islands History!

Even though we are very adult "grown-ups" this undersea tour was so much fun. The large windows made it easy to see the girabaldi, opal eye, calico (kelp) bass, and half moon perch just off the coast of Lovers Beach near the green pleasure pier. The added feature of feeding the fish with "torpedos" of fish food brought swarms of... More

They took great care of us first timers parasailing and made us feel safe, even though we were scared. The semi sub was fun, loved feeding the fish. I just wish there was more than two types of fish but it was fun

I chose this submersible boat ride because photos showed it had large, square windows. We loved the trip and saw many fish right next to our windows. The crew did a fine job of feeding the fish on both sides of the ship so everyone could experience the feeling of being inside the school. Not a huge variety of fish... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Cindy Lowe as our Tour guide on the Cape Canyon Expedition. It was the most expensive land tour but well worth it. We had a full 4 and 1/4 hour trip in an open Humvee. We were able to see a large part of the island on both the leeward and... More
