As an experienced diver I sincerely appreciated how Dave asked me and customized my interests on our 2 dives. Dave, being a very experienced instructor, quickly assessed my abilities as a diver and was informative and supportive to the perfect degree. Since the Casino Point Dive Park is a protected area, the fish species were abundant and was even able... More

I've been diving all over the world and have interacted with all types of dive companies and this was one of the best experiences I've had. Dave was a great guy, super nice guy and the dive was great. The kelp forest was really cool and there was a ton of sea life from lobsters and eels to seals and... More

Both my girlfriend and I agree that Dave is the best instructor! This was hands down the most relaxing and enjoyable certification experience my girlfriend an I have had. Dave is very attentive, patient, and caring, which must come from teaching children when he lived in Michigan. He renewed our faith that scuba diving can be fun. I have been... More

Definitely dive with Dave in Catalina! He is an amazing dive instructor and guide. I have snorkeled all over and this in an unbeatable stop for every experience level (snorkelers to advanced divers). Diving Catalina makes the experience so much better by providing all your equipment...so much better than dragging your own stuff through town and Dave's knowledge of the... More

I booked with Diving Catalina specifically because I had always wanted to try a Diver Propulsion Vehicle. I highly recommend anyone else diving with them to do the same! A DPV will allow you to whiz around and cover more than double the area you'd be able to see on a typical dive (e.g. seal lions! kelp forest!) which will... More

In July, we went over to Catalina Island for a diving excursion weekend. Dave was absolutely amazing. His training technique made us all feel safe and comfortable in 50 ft depth. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Booked two shore dives from Avalon Dive park and the experience Dave provided was impeccable. It has been a while since we dove and Dave put all the equipment together and gave us refresher points. Was a wonderful experience and would love to dive with him again. I even dropped my fin in the water and he dove for it... More

Dave was our dive master and he did a great job showing us a ship wreck, small sharks, octopuses and a kelp forest. I had not dove for about two years and Dave was really good at making sure we were all ok! I would highly recommend him. The water was also very clear and warm! Dave gave us the... More

The snorkeling trip was a first for my 11 year old daughter so she had a great time. As for adults...not so much. The wet suits, masks and snorkels for rent had seen better days. The mask leaked and the wet suits were pretty much shredded and way too big. There was minimal instructions for first timers and we went... More

My sons, 12 and 16, had never done a dive before and I am PADI certified. Dave did a fantastic job of explaining the dive to the kids. My son has a very large in-step and Dave took the time to look for equipment that fit us all well. Once in the water, he took us around the dive park... More
