Must-see tour for nature lovers and those seeking to learn more about Catalina's wildlife. Our tour guide, Ron was great. We learned the history of the bison and cattle from early Avalon, learned about and saw a bald eagle, as well as a red fox! We got lucky enough to see one up close but I wasn't fast enough to... What better way to learn about a place then spend several hours with a person who has lived there 25+ years? We took the 3-hour tour because when we looked at the maps at where the different tours went, the 3-hour tour went to more places on the island, and we wanted to see more. We spotted some of the... My husband and I had previously been on a quick day trip (6 hours) to Catalina Island with my parents, but we had a few days to spend this time. We were looking for a couple of activities for our visit. We saw the 2 hour jeep tour for $70 per person, it's usually more than we would spend, but... More

Best 3 hours we had on the island. This little secret was an awesome way to spend the last day of 2015. A comfy ride in a roomy jeep. Scott was our guide. He was fun, and full of facts. We drove into the interior of the island, saw and learned about wild life of this beautiful island. We learned... More

We took the 2-hour jeep tour on a cool but clear morning. The jeep seats five passengers plus a driver. It has amplified sound for the four rear seats, so we could hear clearly. Beth, our guide, is a long-time resident of Catalina. She was very attentive to our needs (provided lap blankets and a step stool for my short... More

Took the two hour tour today with Andrew and it was wonderful! What a great way to get to know the rest of the island.....off the beaten track! The views were spectacular, saw bison, and loved hearing about Catalina history! Highly recommend it for those who want a bit of adventure.

This was by far the best tour of the interior and we didn't mind paying a lot for what we got. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMENDED

While it is not a cheap tour by any means, you will appreciate why when you go on the tour. The Conservancy is doing a great job of keeping the Island in its natural state as much as possible and creating a haven for the wildlife that have made the Island their home. All of that costs time and money.... More
