We saw bison, the island fox, the airport, and a great deal of the island, with quite a history lesson. This is THE Company to book with for an inland expedition, as the funds are reinvested in conservation of the island through the nonprofit that runs the Jeep-Eco Tours.

I Filled out an online form on Thursday for a Saturday tour. I was supposed to hear from the conservancy within 48 hours. No one ever got back to me. When I called early Saturday morning they were already full. We got to the island early expecting a morning tour. No where online does it give any hours of the... More

The Eco tours done by the conservancy can take you on roads other tours are not allowed. Our driver and tour guide was fun and well-informed. The views from the interior are spectacular both up-close and in the distance. We were treated to the old DC-3 plane taking off from the Airport to the Sky as well as one of... More

I'm so glad we took this tour. It opened our eyes to the fragile beauty that I might not have seen beyond the streets of Avalon. There aren't enough superlatives for the scenery. We were pleased and surprised at the lack of development on the island. Inspiring? Breathtaking? Religious? Isolated beaches, the who, when and where and the bison of... More

This tour was really amazing! The driver was extremely knowledgable and fun and the views was BREATH-TAKING! We would definitely do it again someday.

While this tour is a tad pricey, the money goes to a good cause-- to protect the beauty of Catalina. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and he was able to answer all of my mom's questions (she's a retired teacher and has been to Catalina several times,so that was impressive). We didn't see any animals, but the views from... More

The experience was more than I had hoped for. As others have, we chose this company because they are the Catalina Island Conservancy and tend to be a bit less commercial than other businesses. My wife and I were the only guests for a 3 hour tour with our driver, Ron. Ron has has been living on the island for... More

I booked this Jeep tour and it turned out my husband and I were the only ones that morning, so like our own private tour! Andrew was a great driver and guide-we learned so much from him. We got to see 2 bison, the Airport in the Sky and went to Escondido Ranch were there is a new vineyard. Went... More

We were lucky enough to be the only two people on this tour so we were able to get so much information about the island and its history. Don't leave Catalina without exploring the island. To just stay in Avalon is a huge mistake. You will learn about the wildlife and vegetation as well as we the Bison up close.... More

Spent a week in the LA area visiting our son and have to say the day spent touring the "back country" with the Catalina Conservancy was by far the best day of our trip. The COMFORTABLE jeep only holds 6 and our driver "Ron"? made us feel as if we were being shown the island by a friend and not... More
