Capt. John and his 1st mate Scott were awesome! We only had 2 couples on the cruise, but we went anyway. The weather was beautiful and the coves simply lovely! Capt. John is very knowledgeable and Scott has a great eye for spotting sea life and birds on the cliffs. We even got to see 1 flying fish!! Highly recommend!

Capt. John is personable and interesting. Our group of 6 had a great time on a 2 hour charter which turned into 3 hours because it was that much fun! Its a treat to see the exterior of the island with a cocktail in hand. John is a very knowledgeable local and his wife Karen and first mate Capt Scott... More

Thank you Captain Scott, we had a blast especially after catching that beautiful sheep head fish. My whole family was raving about the picture we took. You were also very informative about the island and its history which was great to know since it was our first time on the Island. You were also very helpful with you fishing expertise... More

I've done many fishing trips on the gulf coast from Florida but this is my first experience in the Pacific. It was not a disappointment!! My friend and I made 3 passes with 7 nets and brought home EIGHT 3 to 5 pound spiny lobsters. It was totally worth it and we ate the first two less than an hour... More

Afishinados Charters provided a wonderful 2 hour cruise around Marina del Rey. Captain John and Scott were wonderful hosts and tour guides and took great care of all of us throughout the trip. We even got to see dolphins at play. Definitely recommend them for team outings or family trips. Thanks again for a great experience.

Been on those guided tours where the guide recites the same lines from the last 100 excursions? Not with Captain John King! My wife and I wandered into the King's shop, all things fish related, on Crescent Ave and chatted up Mrs King. We left with tickets on the 10:30 AM cruise. Just by dumb luck we went up to... More

We had 49 participants on a 1-1/2 hour morning excursion. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. John's knowledge and humor was a highlight on the outing and his crew took great care of all of us. Our excursion on the Catallac was a high point on our weekend on Catalina.

I went on the flying fish tour last month. I can't even begin to explain how awesome the night was. The boat was gorgeous and comfortable. Captain John was a genuine guy with a great personality. He seemed every bit as excited about seeing the flying fish as we were. Saw flying fish, sea lions, and the most beautiful stars.... More

I wanted to go on a sunset cruise to Two Harbors, but unfortunately there wasn't one available on the days we were in Avalon. We came across the Afishinados walking on Crescent Ave where they had brochures and cards describing their many tours. They had a 1 1/2 hour sunset cruise that evening that sounded perfect. We were able to... More
