Took the tour around Avalon. Chris our guide/instructor was fantastic telling us stories of Catalina that only locals would know. He was professional but also made it fun. Once you get the hang of them the Segway are great fun. Would thoroughly recommend it to young and old, just don't run any tourists over!.

We (4 of us) had a great time with our guide. We did the Hogsback (?) tour - and he was very knowledgeable about the island, answering all our questions. Safety first, so he made sure we all knew how to get on, get off, and park your segway. It was fun! and a great way to see the island.... More

I have always wanted to try this and although it does take some getting used to, it is a fun way to travel around an area. I don't think I could do the offloading Segways but around town and with the guide, it was fun. Our guide was Butch, and he is very knowledgeable about Catalina Island and historic things... More

We sent our two adult sons on the 2 hour Off Road tour and had a blast. Eric was the individual at the ticket booth and made the recommendation. He was very friendly and provided good insight. We discovered that the shorter tours ended at about the time that you really got the hang of operating the Segway. The tour... More

In my mid 60's, I was hesitant to try a Segway tour, but my husband talked me into it. Our guide, an Avalon native, was an excellent Segway instructor, and the tour was fun. However, you can see the same places much less expensively by walking and/or taking the trolley. I'd recommend this tour only if you want the Segway... More

This was a blast! We took the tour to the Wrigley Memorial and gardens. It ended up being just me and my friend and our guide Butch. He was a great instructor and knew the history of everything about the island. This tour is underrated on trip advisor. Give it a try!!

This was our first time on a segway and we had no problem learning how to drive/ride one. You get proper instruction before taking off on the road and there is a practice course set up for you to learn on. The tour was good but I would have loved to go even more places on the tour. We did... More

I've always wanted to try riding a Segway, but I've always been a little hesitant. I'm 64 and my wife is 65. We're in good shape, but I imagined not being able to really control the Segway and holding the group back, or making a fool of myself by being out of control. Then we went to Catalina with my... Pablo, our tour guide spent time showing us how to operate the segways. We had never been on a segway so he showed a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing amount of patience while we learned how to operate the machine. We took a nice tour of the harbor and then proceeded up into the canyon to look around.... More

So cool! This was the first time anyone in my family had been on a segway. Normally we can't agree on anything, but we all had a fantastic time on the Avalon tour! Operating he segway was actually much easier than you would think, almost like it's reading your mind. The guide was a bit rude but I would still... More
