Old Town Auburn, CA is a quaint small part of the overall Auburn area. It is chock full of cute and proficient eateries and history. There is a gorgeous old style courthouse, that is lit up at night most romantically. If you are here, you must see the Placer County Museum located in the Court House so you can get... More

This region is best appreciated on foot. Allow several hours to wander the streets and explore the small shops. Check out the menus of the numerous places to eat along the main streets and side streets.

A friend and I just wanted to do a day trip and this was the perfect choice. We walked around looking into the multitude of little unique shops and we're delighted with the friendly and cheerful manner with which we were treated. There were serveral eateries to choose from, we decided on the Auburn Alehouse. The cheese loaf, a sourdough... More

I sensed the sound of clicking of horses walking down the street, as if it was 1900, not 2015. Very sweet stores abound (if not shuttered), nice big art gallery and other art stores and plenty of things to see in a relaxed atmosphere. Several nice restaurants.

Thsi place takes you back in time. A visit to the Placer County Courthouse is a must for a look back at the gold finds of early years.

First time been here, ok to find a parking just side street. Beautiful shops with historical buildings. It's nice to walk during Saturday morning having the fresh air with blue sky. Recommend to walk after your breakfast or lunch.

Very enjoyable walk through Old Town Auburn. There are quite a few different shops to visit and a variety of restaurants to choose from when it is time for lunch or dinner. It was very hot the day we were there - but that is just Auburn in July!!
