We enjoyed the shops and galleries in old town. The museum in the court house was very educational and we enjoyed the Bernhard House Museum, also. Bought several art works in the Auburn Old Town Gallery on Washington St. We missed the antique street fair by a day.

This town is full of beautiful shops with very friendly shopkeepers. There is a nice mix of stores with a little something for everyone. It's a good place to find special, unique gifts. There is a nice variety of restaurants to enjoy and lots of interesting history in this town. The giant statue of the gold miner is pretty impressive.... More

Good shops and eateries. The shops were plenty and had some nice shoes and clothing stores, home decor and local artists work.

Old Town Auburn is a nice area to visit and eat. The hills are steep. Plenty of off-street parking. The locals are friendly. Enjoyable for walking, window shopping and eating.

There is a variety of buildings with minor historic interest but lots of historic character. Wandering around is fun if you like locally owned businesses selling everything from art to antiques, clothing, etc. There are plenty of eateries from coffee shops to restaurants, soda fountains to pubs.

Not as many shops as I thought there would be. and all the shops closed at 5 even on Saturday. It was close to the highway and plenty of hotels close by. Also lots of trendy places to eat at. Its the halfway point between airport and Sacramento

when you walk the streets of old town Auburn you are transported back to the early 1900's. The architecture of the period is everywhere and the shop owners are pleasant and accommodating to visitors. Grab a bite to eat and relax.
