Managed to visit this fair on spec, really enjoyed rummaging around all the americana and bric-a-brac, great way to pass a sleepy afternoon. Loads of bargain hunters around, must have been 10's of stalls, the authorities closed off the streets to make the whole area pedestrianised, made the old town come alive and throw back to how it must have... My husband and I love to vacation in the Sierra towns. Auburn is cute and has a few antique shops which are always my favorite but there isn't a whole lot to see. A good way to spend a couple hours at most.

By far, the best pizza in Auburn. We frequent OTA at least twice per month and always bring our friends from out tiwn here. Their Motherlode pizza is awesome! Staff is always friendly and attentive.

We were visiting friends who live in Auburn, and of course we did the requisite tour of "old town." It's nice enough. Some good shops, and some so-so shops. We had just eaten breakfast and were going out to dinner, so we didn't try any of the eateries. It was a nice way to pass some time, and we did... More

Plenty to see - lots of historic buildings both commercial and domestic, the firehouse with an old fire engine - all very photogenic. Plus a good variety of inexpensive antique shops and a great artists gallery

Walked around town, Grandma, Aunt, Mom and 2 year old. Many small shops that were interesting. Dined locally and enjoyed the afternoon.

Nice place to stroll - shops and galleries, and nice dining options. Haven't spent near enough time here, but every time I'm here I feel at home, and I'm not a local.

What a fun day. Beautiful weather to walk around looking at the shops and gold rush era remains. The Silver Shop has unique jewelry at affordable prices. Sierra Moon has beautiful jewelry with beautiful craftsmanship. Quick fun dare has us doing a shot at the California Club. Checking out the old Fire House and mining equipment we crossed over to... My mother moved here about 6 months ago, she'd always thought she;d end up in Auburn! We visit often, and just love walking through old town Auburn. It's full of good shops and good eats. All the charm of a small town, with the sierra mountain history, but big enough to have great shops and good food.
