Very enjoyable walk through Old Town Auburn. There are quite a few different shops to visit and a variety of restaurants to choose from when it is time for lunch or dinner. It was very hot the day we were there - but that is just Auburn in July!!

This is a very quaint old town that makes you feel like the old Victorian Days. It has plenty of good restaurants, and nice shops to visit. Their Fair Grounds puts on some really great fairs. I liked their Draft Horse Fair last year. The area is totally tall pines and mountain terrain which adds to it's old world charm.... More

I visit old town Auburn a few times a year. I enjoy arriving by a Harley, a convertible or other auto. I always take Auburn-Folsom Road. The drive is windy but interesting. Breakfast at Awful Annie's or Edelweiss Restaurant energises us. A little stroll up and down the small gold town to view antique stores, second-hand store, and art shops... More

This little town area is a must stop and see! Charming old town feeling with antique shops, specialty shops, places to eat! There are old buildings, beer and wine places. Several times a year there are street fairs, wine tasting and the best is Old Town Christmas. The streets are shut down, vendors sell their wares, chestnuts roasting, tree lighting,... More

One can learn a lot about the California Gold Rush by visiting the historic area of Auburn, the oldest Gold Rush town. This educational opportunity, alone, will make a visit to historic downtown Auburn worthwhile. Add to this opportunity the many great places to eat and shop (the variety of shops surprised us) and you will have a very enjoyable... More

Authentic old California town with a bit of charm, right off the highway. Worth the visit. Some good food and drink there, too.

A wonderful place to go and enjoy the food and the quaintness of the place. It will be located in a different location soon. A place that is difficult to find parking and also is crowded most of the time especially on weekends because of the location of Old Town.

This is a great little area of Auburn. Many good restaurants and an exceptional store named Pineapple Pier. A great side trip on the way to or from Tahoe.
