There are many activities that take place here: craft shows, Run-for-Life, soccer practice for young children and sometimes has been used as a Farmer's Market once a week. There are trees, walkways, grass and a pleasant atmosphere.

The drought has completely dried the lake up over this past year. Hopefully, with plenty of rain in years to come, this small town gem will be restored.

I was amazed how many people use the path around the Atascadero Lake for walking, biking and running. It is 1.1 miles around the path we did two times with a couple of friends and the time just blew by. I have found a way I will get some exercise. During the summer months the park host Music in the... More

Take my kids here almost every weekend. Zoo is great. Lake is dry. People are friendly. This is a good place for birthday parties, we have had several here. It's a good idea to reserve your spot in advance, to make sure you get it.

We went for the Wine Festival. It was wonderful. The Park is a great venue for this event. So sad the lake is dry due to the drought. Last year it was beautiful.

This little gem in the middle of Atascadero is perfect for picnics, family get-togethers, walking (over a mile of walking path through many scenic areas and protected from vehicle traffic) and just hanging out in the shady areas on a hot day. Unfortunately, the lake in the middle of the park has dried up but the city has plans to... More

It has a great walk/run track around the lake, about 1 mile. On Tuesdays in the summer enjoy BBQ (Tri-tip or chicken) prepared by Elks and sold by various not for profits in the area. Stick around for a Concert in the Park... the community band does a good job in the new Kiwanis Band Pavilion.

The park has several outdoor BBQ pits surrounded by picnic tables, restroom facilities close by and a lake to paddle boat around in. The kids can feed the ducks or visit the little zoo which shares the park area. There is also a real nice sandy area where swings and jungle hims and climbing structures have been erected for the... When I lived in Atascadero, CA this was the palace to go to relax. I remember when I lived there, I went to 2 father-daughter dances, and they were both at the lake house. It was an amazing experience. I am definitely going to visit this place when I go to California this year.

Atascadero Lake Park is great for many reasons. The walk around the lake is a mile and is great for all ages. In the summer, there is music and BBQ at the park and paddle boats to rent. It is a nice cool, green grass respite from the hot summer days in Atascadero. Wonderful kiddie area with lots of swings... More
