stinks, ugly, the pits, smells Waste of time to go there I use to take the kids there. That is, before the city council decided to empty it. They dredged most of it but left it empty. Use to be a nice little place to take the grandkids fishing. One o my grandkids caught a plastic child's cup from there.... More

We were in the area so decided to go see what the lake looked like at Atascadero Lake Park. Uh - no water. It was nice for a walk and others were out too, some with their dogs, but not a drop of water anywhere. Hopefully we get the big rains this winter and next visit will show more water.... More

This is a pretty cool little park. There are exercise trails with the fitness playground type things, and there are lot's of old oak trees which provide good shade for the numerous events held here. I attended a wine festival and it was outstanding.

Our kids enjoyed the play ground. There is lots of shade and nice bathrooms. Lots of parking. Great park!

The lake is an excellent park to walk around and get some great exercise. You can watch the ducks, enjoy a picnic, let the kids play on the equipment and just relax and enjoy the weather and the day together. Always some event happening here too.

A highlight and model for any community. Great gathering place with lots to do. Even with the dry lake bed, a pretty spot. The ELKS were prepping for BBQ and a lot of folks walking and lunching and enjoying the zoo. Beautiful band pavilion and event room pavilion. Local art and scout projects abound. Very clean.

Beautiful park with plenty of playground equipment, a ball field, walking path, zoo (for a fee) and picnic tables. Unfortunately there is no water in the lake right now, but it is still a pretty area to hang out and have fun.

If you haven't visited the Lake Park...GO! If you hop online to the lake park's (city of Atascadero) web site, you can check out if the local band is playing under the Gazebo (they do so allll summer long...mostly on weekends). You can walk a lap around the lake in about 15 minutes (it's a little over a mile around).... More

A great place to stop on your way to Morro Bay or into Atascadero. This is a beautifully cared for park that provides a playground and lots of grass.

We always enjoy this event. Many wineries, they had food also. There is a lot of shade so we were able to get out of the sun.
