Very suitable for children. It will hold their attention for the short while it takes to go through.
This zoo is next to a park. If you have a family or even if you do not, this is a great stop. The zoo is small, however it is clean and easy to navigate. The kids were really excited about seeing and learning about the variety of animals. There is a small gift shop and plenty of opportunities to... More
I have taken my grandchildren to this zoo several times over the years because I have found it be a good venue to expose the kids to animals they may not see anywhere else. I particularly enjoy taking them by the Tiger cage and letting them gaze incredibly at the beautiful tiger on display. I have also been pleasantly surprised... More
We didn't have high hopes considering the size of the place or the place. But it turned out even less interesting within a few minutes of the visit. Other than a few exotic ones (which is why I give average), its not that good.
Do not support this awful place inder the guise of an animal sanctuary. Poor animals. DEPRESSING!!! Saddest poor animals stuck in tiny cages. What is wrong with you people who faves this place favorable reviews???
We have spent alot of time at this park over the last 25 years. We live on the coast so this is the perfect warm weather spot for us. Nice park with lots of trees and a lake. Perfect for bbq. Has volleyball nets and horseshoe pits, they even rent paddle boats in summer. The zoo is small but nice.... More
This is a hidden gem of a small Zoo in Atascadero (15 minutes north or San Luis Obispo and 10 minutes south of Paso Robles) that has some of the most unique animals that you would not find at a large zoo. Great gift shop with reasonable prices. A must see when you are in the area.
We visited the Charles Paddock Zoo with my 3-year old grandson last month. Go early when it opens at 10am and watch the animals being fed! The red panda had 4-month old twins but we only saw mama. The meerkats were so entertaining. For a small zoo, it was fun.
Vey nice time at the little zoo. Some interesting species but a little depressing seeing them in small environments.
Not the biggest zoo in the world but very enjoyable. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. If you have an hour or so I think you may enjoy this
