Loved the comfortable seating & sizable lobby. Good acoustics. Parking was a bit inconvenient as there was school vehicles & construction equipment in the mid-distance parking forcing the majority of folks to park at the far end of the lot. No biggie, but with almost 600 folks in attendance those other spots would have been quite welcome :)

I was in town for a video presentation that was held at the Center. It was a little difficult to find as it is right next to the high school but the bushes cover the name of the center up so I had to make a couple of passes by it before I realized it wasn't part of the school.... More

Although there only seating for about 600, the acoustics are very good in just about any seat. We have enjoyed lots of musical performances. And, the price for a performance won't require a loan from the bank. They paid special attention to the bathroom facilities for the ladies. You won't find anyother public house with as many toilets.

My husband and I always enjoy some sort of musical/performance event while on vacation and we found the Cal Poly Jazz Band Concert was playing for their end of the year performance while we were in town. So we tried it out. When the Jazz Band 1 hit the stage my mouth was just open and unbelieving what I was... More

Even though I'm sad that a gorgeous lawn full of old, tall trees were removed to build this theater, it's definitely a much loved place. Musicals, plays, concerts, dancing and more! International tours, national groups and local school performances all share this space. The downside, some of the volunteer ushers can be rather power hungry and cranky. The upside, for... More

First the Clark Center is close to my home so is very convenient. It is a first class facility with comfortable chairs and the view is good from every seat in the house.

I have loved the Kingston Trio since I was a pre-teen and was thrilled when my husband announced we were going to see them, and in our own back yard (literally as our home backs up to the Arroyo Grande High School parking lot where the Clark Center is located). Before the Clark Center was built there was no venue... More

If you are living on the Central Coast, or traveling here to spend some time near the ocean, check the Clark Center for the Performing Arts calendar. They book excellent entertainment. The theater seats about 600. It is only a few years old and very comfortable, with excellent acoustics.

This relatively small theater is a welcome addition to the south county. All seats provide a great view and acoustics.. Since it is on the high school campus, there is ample, easy, free parking. While the theater itself is wonderful, the quality of the show often could be better. Even so, this theater provides an entertainment venue this area has... More
