Cathy and I rode out here on a whim while riding on the back roads south of Phoenix. We went up to office to see if they'd let us take apeak, we were willing to pay a reasonable fee to enter. We've been to many NASCAR tracks off race and have been alliwed to park and walk to or around... More

What a RUSH once I got comfortable but I'm sure for the first couple laps I was little old grandpa out there in comparison to others (noting: no one is on the same lap as you). The key and what they stress to you in class, do what feels comfortable, the experience is for YOU not the spectators. Additionally, it's... More

We attended the November 2014 NASCAR races here and, as usual, really enjoyed the racing. The problem we had was where our seats were located. Even November can be hot in Phoenix and we were facing the sun all day from our front stretch reserved seats. The track is built so that sitting on the front stretch did not allow... More

I bought tickets for the nascar race for March 15th and surprised my husband with the tickets the morning of the race!! He's a nascar fan so I couldn't miss this opportunity. I was able to still purchase great seats and we saw everything! His favorite driver is Dale Jr. (of course, right) and of course he crashed and wasn't... More

I have been trying to alert folks to the fun time they can have twice a year at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). While NASCAR has a huge following nationwide, many people right here in Arizona have not experienced motorsports. Today's reality of racing weekend at PIR is very different from NASCAR's past and not-very-welcoming image for families, women and people... More

This is the 4th Nascar track I have been to and WOW, what a view!! It definitely beats the view of the East Coast tracks! The staff is very friendly too. The walk from the car is pretty far (if you do the general parking) so I would recommend to upgrade your parking. Other than that, GREAT track!

Great experience. Beautiful facility. Whish they had more elevators, can be a difficult climb in the heat to reach the upper stands. Even so take your time and enjoy the views.

We met up with some family from New Mexico. We came from Northern California. What a blast we had. It was Hot but not burning hot like in summer here. The cool breeze helped out. The track is well set up, except for the merchandise haulers, they are staged outside of track. But once they implement the merchandise super stores... More
