Silly Mountain has something for all ages in it's network of a dozen trails. Whether it be a good cardica workout or just a leisurely walk to enjoy the surrounding beauty of the Sonoran Desert, this park has it all. A don't miss feature of this park is the diverse biotanical garden walk at the beginning of the trail head.... More

The trail is well marked at this popular hiking spot just outside AJ. For an average hiker, it's about a 20 minute walk to the top.

This is our favorite place to spend a few hours when we're visiting family in East Gilbert. The trails are well-trod and clearly marked, and provide a good variety: some with lovely views of the Superstition range, some with scrambling inclines, some with the classic desert vegetation you know and love. Often it's hard to spot the park entrance if... More

I had not been to Silly Mountain for many years when I stopped for a quick hike last week. Wow! So much has changed. There are now multiple trails that get your heart pumping. I probably wouldn't recommend this hike if you are looking for amazing views as it's right next to a highway, but it's a quick and fun... More

I love this mountain and the trails. I also love the botanical figure eight trail if I don't feel like climbing the mountain.

this is a great place to hike! there are many trails all over silly mountain to choose from, you can take nice short hike, or make it an all day hike, the view from the top is amazing, you can see all over the valley.

I have taken a hike on this Silly Mountain several times. It is a nice small hike with some challenges to those who are not use to climbing in the Arizona dry climate and sun. I have worked up a sweat on this mountain even in January. Going up is much easier then coming down on the front trail. The... More

Nice easy hiking trails. This area can be quite crowded with hikers due to the ease of the terrain. Also hosts a interpretive trail which is wheelchair accessible.

This small park has a great labeling of native plants to Arizona. There is also a great hike around Silly mountain which is a great way to start your winter of hiking.
