I have taken a hike on this Silly Mountain several times. It is a nice small hike with some challenges to those who are not use to climbing in the Arizona dry climate and sun. I have worked up a sweat on this mountain even in January. Going up is much easier then coming down on the front trail. The... More

Nice easy hiking trails. This area can be quite crowded with hikers due to the ease of the terrain. Also hosts a interpretive trail which is wheelchair accessible.

This small park has a great labeling of native plants to Arizona. There is also a great hike around Silly mountain which is a great way to start your winter of hiking.

Loved the trails. Great workout and view. Took tons of pictures and it has plenty of parking off the 60. Have to visit the hieroglyphic trail and water fall. Dog friendly.

This use to be a mountain that 4 whellers would go up & down; which was a BLAST. They stopped that and now you can hike it. If your up to the challange, go for it. Have a Good Safe time. Bring water with you ALWAYS.

Just off the highway and the park has some nice trails with good signage. It is easy to approach but can be a bit of a challenge to get back out onto the highway if there is lots of traffic.

Fairly easy hike with reasonable views. Not overly busy. Easy to find off I-60. Mainly south facing. Bring water.

If you are staying in the Mesa area, this is a perfect mountain to be your first hike. The trails are well mapped and easy - moderate ability, with spectacular views of the Superstition Mountains. Downside? There is no bathroom or water fountain so make sure you are well hydrated but not too well hydrated that you need a potty... More

This small hiking area is located off of Highway 60 near Apache Junction. It has an assortment of trails and a nice small botanic garden that can be accessed by anyone. Most of the hiking trails require hiking boots and a stick but you can get by on a couple with tennis shoes. We were given a trail guide by... More
