This is a lovely day trip from the Phoenix area. Once on the Apache Trail, the drive is winding with stunning vistas at every turn. Get your tickets for the Dolly steamboat on line or by phone in advance. We took a noon 1.5 hour lake cruise and saw a bald eagle on its nest and 7 big horn sheep.... More

Totally Loved the trip. It far exceeded our expectations. From the very friendly professional staff, the white tablecloth service, gorgeous scenery, perfect mood music to create a soothing atmosphere, very delicious meal including dessert and alcohol service. This is one of few tourist tours that I would definitely take a second time and highly recommend to friends and family.

We took one of the evening trips in late October. The meal was surprisingly good, the lake and sunset were gorgeous, and the sky nights presentation by Dr Sky was awesome. This was a great opportunity to relax with friends and enjoy the constellations. We were prepared for the evening to be cool, but if anything it was a little stuffy.... More

The Dolly is a very enjoyable excursion down the Salt River. Located about 30 miles of beautiful desert drive out Hwy 88 from Apache Junction you will fin a well marked turn across a bridge and into the parking lot? Reservations should be made online or you will take your chances on seat availability. There's a nice shaded waiting are... More

We had out of town guests and wanted to show them something different, so we went in the twilight dinner cruise. To say it was a hit gives it disservice. the views were marvelous and the food scrumptious, we had chicken marsala and it melted in your mouth. Our guests throughly enjoyed the trip and even got to gee a... More

Who would have thought you could find such a neat ride touring Canyon Lake? The scenery is beautiful and the Captain did a great narration pointing out many sights and nature's beauty. We saw a couple bald eagles. We had a nice view by choosing to head to the top deck outside on the right.

Good trip but if you ride on the left side of the boat you miss a lot. All of the sights pointed out were on the right side and you see nothing if seated below. Get there early to get a boarding pass in the first 25 to guarantee a good seat. Parking is horrendous.

My wife and I decided to take a tour of Canyon Lake.. We were not disappointed! My wife took some serious pics of nature. The captain knew his history and the setting??? Breath taking in some places....

We'll steam boat is deffinatly exaggerated . At least this is what I observed . The scenery is outstanding , the boat itself is at best utilitarian. Compared to many lake sightseeing cruises in Gemany, Austria or Switzerland, the boat used is very primitive. A few more amenities would be in order , considering what they charge!! Well, they are... Great tour of the lake. The crew is very knowledgable and Capt John was great with my disabled daughter. I would recommend anyone to go on this tour, the scenery is amazing.
