The park is big and due to the curving shoreline, there are many lovely vistas and never a feel of being crowded. If my great cooking wife would be willing to transport her magic touch up here .,this would be a nice place to spend a few days.

We just camped at Wind Creek this past week and absolutely loved it. Everything was beautiful and so relaxing. We also took in a little school shopping as Alex City was only about 6 miles away. The only downside is our fault, but we will be purchasing bicycles for our next adventure...LOL. We will definitely be going again in the... More

We camped in our motor home at a scenic spot on this beautiful lake. Campsite rental is reasonably priced. Although most of the camp sites are somewhat small, we visited the park the week after a holiday when the park was not very crowded so we were able to get a larger spot with a large buffer between us and... Stayed there last night and concur with previous reviewers comments that it's packed with red necks fighting. One hour after we set up our camper a fight broke out with two guys yelling and a female screaming so long and loud we were concerned she had been seriously injured. Then came the security car with lights flashing, this took up... More

We enjoy fishing off the Wind Creek Park fishing pier. We usually catch at least a few fish and if we have a bad day of fishing we still enjoy the natural surrounding. The birds and turtles and nature in general are beautiful from any location at the park.

The park over all would be considered a waste of time going to this area on the lake had all kinds of trash floating in the water and the smell of dead fish was everywhere especially during the warm spring and summer months other than that it's a white trash paradise over run with foul mouth rednecks and young kids... Went with family in our travel trailer July 2012. Campsites are tight but overall the park is very nice. The park area around the lake is especially pretty. Fishing spots everywhere. bathrooms were very well kept up.

I loved this park, our visit was brief but we were able to tour the campgrounds ( sites were a little cramped & congested) but waterfront sites looked awesome. There was a swimming hole for kids & lotsa people had floats. Plenty of room to tube, wakeboard, ski, fish, or just cruise around. We plan to book our camping trip... More
