Very interesting island . The ferry takes 35 minutes rain or shine. Would not reccomded going when windy. It gets pretty windy and white caps and waves 8 to 10 feet .and if you get out of cars to go up top its hang on or sit down. Once over there its very interesting to visit with the locals and... More

We just came back from the Door County, Wisconsin area. Starting in Sturgeon Bay and going the length of the Peninsula over 10 days was a trip to remember. The history of the area is intriguing and very interesting. We kayaked. zip lined, rented bikes and boats and took numerous walks around the various towns and historic sites. We climbed... More

GREAT place to spend a long weekend, quit relaxing. Do a fish boil and visit one of the local pubs/breweries and wineries. Ephragm is a great little town. Try Wilsons, the food is expensive for what it is. The ambiance is 1950's soda shop. It is nice and has great food. Rent a boat a have a great week end.

Door County is one of my favorite places to go in my home state. It has it all! Romantic sunsets, fine and casual dining with many cuisine options, countless wineries, state parks and endless recreational opportunities! Ephraim is home to the most beautiful sunsets and Wilson's ice cream parlor, a Door County tradition! Anderson Dock is a place to literally... More

We—mom, dad, and two kids--came here first in 1982. Wondering now why we waited so long to return! Spent a wonderful week in Door County the last week of July celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with those same two kids plus their families and friends of ours. Rented a beach house on Lake Michigan, just north of Jacksonport on the... More

A visit to the Door County Peninsula is worth your time. Starting at Sturgeon Bay, you can see the Canal Light House and North Pierhead Light. The lights can be seen by following Canal Drive to the end from Highway 42/57. Two completely different lights. You can not go up in either, but interesting to see the difference. Travel up... More

We came here for a family vacation last year and had a great time. This year, we are out and about and seeing more of the spots and meeting more people. It's really a fantastic spot...funky, friendly, and cool. What's better than that?

Going to Door County is a very relaxing getaway. So much like New England with great places to stay, amazing scenery, wonderful restaurants and fun shopping. We stayed at the Settlement IN and they couldn't have been nicer. Our room was huge and had a fireplace, kitchenette and LOTS of space. We will be going back there for sure. The... More

I don't actually have a bucket list but Tim and I are trying to visit each one of the 50 states. So a visit to Wisconsin fit into our time visiting Chelsea in Carmel, IN. Door County is absolutely breath-taking. Worth a longer, relaxing visit! Maybe someday.
