Calling all adventurers. Tread carefully. Young & old will enjoy the thrill of climbing down the rocks to get close to the waves crashing against them. Not good for little ones unless you never let go of them near the edges. This is an amazing place. See the many, many rock stacks that visitors set up. You can see the... More

Just outside of Jacksonport to the south you can find this park by following signs off the main road (57). It is also bordered on the north side of Whitefish Dunes State Park. Beautiful place to visit! Good parking lot and facilities. If you have little ones, you need to keep a watchful eye as there are no railings and... More

We don't miss a visit to this park when we are in Door County. We are happy to climb among the rocks, take photos, and sit and listen to the waves. This time the water was higher and the crashing waves were a good performance. If you walk the cliff top trail toward Whitefish Dunes State Park you will see... More

This gorgeous county park right next to/within Whitefish Dunes State Park is not to be missed. The beautiful rock formations and caves along the shore are breathtaking. The path winds along the shore and the more adventurous and get a closer look on the rocks. Watching and hearing the waves crash and pound against the rocks is awe-inspiring. The parking... More

A local bartender told us to visit this location before our trip was over. I sure am glad we listened to this advice. Cave Point was beautiful and offered great locations for frame worthy photos. It also allowed you to climb up and down the large rock formations and feel like an adventurist.

We made this our first stop to have a picnic lunch on arriving in Door County. It was a bit cold and drizzley but we put the hoods up and ate our lunch. After that we noticed people all dressed up coming from the area of the rocks where you can see the water crashing on the rocks. Here as... More

We need to come back when we have more time to enjoy this lovely spot. We were lucky to have a perfect autumn day. The waves were crashing in against the cliffs. The water was high this year which we found out talking to some regular visitors. We wanted to walk to the the dunes in Whitefish Dunes State Park... More

What a wonderful find! So glad we decided to take a chance and turned around when we saw the sign! The locals are so blessed to be able to soak in such views whenever they like! The experience is breathtaking in beauty as much as such heights and power of water. Well worth the time to enjoy!

I've been visiting this park since I was a teenager & it is a MUST when in Door County! The walking trails are perfect to take it all. If you want you can get off the beaten path & get closer to the water. Go early in the day to avoid the crowds.
