Beautiful falls in an out of the way little park but well worth the drive. It's an easy walk to the falls in a quiet park. Picnic area, trails, restrooms and a playground are available. You may luck out and have the park to yourself to enjoy the uniquely beautiful falls and rocky river. A special place.

My parents (in their mid 60s) went to Valley Falls State park. My father had been very ill and this was the first time in over a year he felt like doing anything recreational. They packed a nice picnic lunch and their camera. After accidentally missing a sign that said they could not park in an area the "Ranger" immediately... More

We really enjoy climbing on the rocks and enjoying the peaceful sounds and views. Great for a picnic on the rocks or down near the water. It was one of our first dates, and we're planning our wedding there for next spring!

The park was nicely kept up. Wonderful waterfall viewing. Nice place for a small wedding which so happens was occurring while we were there. The trails were easy to navigate. Ranger was so helpful to us newcomers.

Valley Falls is nicest park in the Fairmont area. The park offers shelters for picnics and playground equipment for children.

No one else was at the park when I was there. The waterfalls were very scenic but there is not much else in the park.

It's a little out of the way to get here but worth the trip to enjoy the beautiful river, rocks and waterfalls. It's an easy walk from the parking lot to the river. A wedding had just finished when we were there - what a beautiful spot for it! Not too crowded. Lots of picnic tables. Loved just sitting on... More

Not a very busy place but it was lovely! Interesting as well with the old mill site! Can be very serene watching the falls.

Trails to hike and lots of photo ops. Great to see during prime fall color changes. Train runs through the park. Be careful with young kids getting close to the water. No swimming! We go a few times a year because it is also a sentimental place for us to visit. My husband proposed toe here and a year later... More
