Attended the Wiz versus Cavs game, and was treated to fantastic basketball. Unfortunately it was a blowout, but the arena itself is well crafted.

We went to the Verizon Center during a recent business trip to take in a Georgetown basketball game. The location is convenient as it is at the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Stop. The most interesting thing about this place was its relatively inconspicuous nature considering the fact that it is a major public venue. It was attached directly to the Gallery Place... More

I've traveled to all but 6 NHL arenas, and this one is located in the heart of Washington, DC, very close to the China town district. Unlike many arenas where the staff stops you from gaining access to certain levels, it seems you have access to any level, just not necessarily access to certain seating section. I was surprised that... More

I traveled down with a group of friends from Pittsburgh to watch our Penguins pay the Capitals. The stadium was great. Large, loud, modern and clean. Lots of bathrooms and concessions. The seats are comfortable. Its a hockey town and they support their team. We already plan to come back.

A little bit squashed waiting for the doors to open for a basketball match, but once in all was good. There were plenty of food outlets although lots were closed. The guest services people were friendly and helpful.

We returned to the Verizon Center recently for the Fleetwood Mac concert, having not been in a few years. I must say that they have refined their crowd management to an art: plenty of skilled and courteous event staff from the ticket takers at the entrance to the folks stationed at doors and in aisles, to the floor staff who... Went to see a Caps game on 22/12 - as tourists to the USA this was our first ever ice hockey game - the centre is superb, easy access and egress, excellent seats. We are now Caps (and Ovechkin)fans! As a tourist, seeing a sporting event allows for a very different experience of a country.

My husband and I came here for a Sabres/Capitals game, I had to pay about $50/seat in the 300's section but our view was GREAT; the seats are situated at a pretty steep angle so there are no visual obstructions. The venue has alot of different refreshment stands and is situated in an area with a variety of restaurants so... More

As a Georgetown student, I have been up close and personal for the men's home basketball games. For the Caps and Wizards, I take to sitting a bit higher up. Both provide really exceptional seating. From my experience, this arena is really sharp and clean. I mean, if you're going to watch a sporting event, the most important thing is... More

I've been to this arena numerous times since moving to VA. Purchased partial season tickets to see the Wiz play for the past 3 years. Also attended a Semi-Final NCAA event (Marquette/Miami, Syracuse/Indiana) which was energetic due to all the school spirit. Great location, modern look, clean, good food, pretty good entertainment during intermissions/timeouts, comfortable seating, and great vantage point... More
