Two hours(ish) of nonstop laughter. Great songs and lyrics. Standup routines. You probably have to know something about Washington's political scene to get some of the jokes, but anyone who pays some attention to the news would know enough. This is like a musical version of a bi-partisan Jon Stewart. Very funny. Definitely worth it. As an aside, if you... More

I really enjoyed this show, which I would describe as the demon spawn of College Humor and Gilbert and Sullivan. The political abuse was so evenly meted and done with such good spirit , that offense equally was to be had by all. Very funny--I highly recommend this show!! (Btw, they can really sing, too, not just tell funny jokes!)

This show is really great! You will enjoy the political humor that changes with the latest news. They have fun with all the parties and politicians. Excellent singers and dancers, too. Nice small theatre at the Regan Center. I went to see them one other visit and things changed dramatically with the changing of the "news".

Hadn't seen The Steps after hiring them for a company meeting several years ago. Still hilarious, filled with side splitting laughs. Current and clever. You will want to remember it all, but won't be able to. Plan on buying a CD.

Get there early. The Capitol Steps theater is in the Reagan Bldg., a federal facility that requires you to pass through an airport-like security check. But when finally settled in your seat, you'll be treated to a face-paced, funny and topical show.

Troupe has been performing political humor for over 30 years now and they are still going strong. Show is constantly updated so it is timely. Cast of 3 men and 2 women will poke fun at Republicans and Democrats alike. Worth seeing.

I had not gone to a Capitol Steps performance in more than ten years! They are just as funny as I remember, with their timely and witty parodies about Republicans, Democrats, and other current events! We had 6 performers -- 4 guys and 2 women who all were excellent singers and dancers. They take pop songs and musicals to parody... More

Surprised my husband with tickets. It was a packed house and it was a great show. Funny, intellectual comedy, with plenty of sarcasm. Must go when in town.

Despite the reviews, I had somewhat low expectations. Boy was I wrong! I laughed near continuously for 90 minutes. The singing is strong and the satire is even better. They make fun of everyone, liberal and conservative, but the humor just seems good natured not mean. That's really a feat in today's divisive climate. If you're going to DC for... More
