If you can get,and afford, a prime seat in the center of the orchestra section you will only have to worry about the old seats that are not comfortable. But on the sides you take a chance of having an obstructed view of only part of the stage and last night in a balcony section of the theater, they seemed... More

I have been in many of the broadway theaters and the National is a very similar experience. One can count on good actors/performers, the shows are very well known ones on tour or on their way to New York.

Through the years we have attended a number of productions here - it is almost next door to a Marriott Hotel - and just a block or two from the White House. Access for a production is normally easy with lots of parking garages in the area and near Metro.

Great venue for the production. Sound and staging were wonderful. Our seats were right centerstage and about twenty rows back. Very, very good!

I love this theatre for its history, but I'd really love if the Monday night classic movies could be moved into the main theatre instead of in a makeshift spot upstairs. It's a fun place to go right downtown, and romantic if you're up for a stroll pre- or post-show. =)

The venue is very nice, although the prices for a cheap glass of wine or beer are crazy, 13.00 for enything. However you are not going there to enjoy cocktails, the shows are well orchastrated.

My last visit here was to see "Jersey Boys" which was a few years ago. I might go here more often but the National Theatre just does not seem to be making much effort to bring a good line-up of shows over the past few years. In addition, if you suffer from vertigo or nose-bleeds, avoid getting seats in the... More
