saw Dirty Dancing over the weekend and that's another review. We walked from the metro, about 5-10 minutes away and found a nice place for lunch ,The Corner Bakery, another review lol, anyway if we had walked in the other direction we would have seen many more restaurant choices. Back to the theater, there is an elevator to go up... More

This theater is perfect place to enjoy musicals. Original style theater is classic. Not large, so every seat is pretty good. We prefer this theater over the Kennedy experience. Try to see a musical here once or twice a year. Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed performance of Dirty Dancing. Front side seats can be very close to speakers. We did... More

There's really no bad seat in the house. I've seen plays, concerts, etc., there many times and have never been disappointed. The prices are steep of course and they do let you bring your refreshments to your seats. Just hope the person next to you isn't drunk and doesn't spill anything on you, like what happened to me a few... More

I have been to the National many times and always loved it. However, this time was an exception. We won Executive Star Box seats at a school auction for West Side Story. Because of a stack of about 8 speakers, 1/3 to 1/2 of the stage is blocked from view at all times. We missed many scenes entirely. I believe... More

Terrific show in a historical venue. The seating is comfortable but I warn you that you will have more leg room flying coach! Take in a show.

Located smack downtown DC, the National Theater is a national historic landmark. Sadly, tours are not given during off hours. However, if you have the opportunity to partake in watching a stage production, you will enjoy your experience. Seats are comfortable and well spaced. The only "down" is that there are no bathrooms at street level, only up or down... More

I had a horrible experience taking my 86 year old disabled mother to see the matinee of Porgy and Bess yesterday. National Theatre is not disabled or elderly friendly. There is no valet or on street handicapped parking available. When I called to get information on the best place for handicapped parking, there was no information on handicapped parking and... More

Went here to see If/Then. This theatre is a gem! It is very pretty. We were pretty far back on the main floor and yet the seats were excellent. The staff was extremely nice. The lady's bathroom situation is a little crazy. I'd read that though in other reviews so as soon as intermission came my daughter and I high-tailed... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They took mercy on us during a cold spell. Usually, the crowd has to wait outside until just a little bit before show time, however this time they opened the doors early and let everyone wait inside, thank you! The bathroom however, was atrocious. Keep in mind, I was one of the first... More
