All ages hang out here although it skews a little young -- they are the ones who can stand up for hours at a time! Full alcohol or coffee bar and snack food. Inexpensive night out to see some new music. Good view from the floor or the surrounding balcony. Not overly crowded on a weeknight. Near U Street/African-Amer Civil... More

I have been here to see a whole plethora of music and have never been disappointed. In the beginning of my concert going antics, the club was smoke filled, like walking into a giant cigarette. But a few years back that got banned, so to me it makes the club even more accessible and fun now. It is not in... More

The 930 Club is the most famous live music venue in the DC area. The sound system is incredible and even a below-average sound man can make a teenage garage band sound great here. Make sure to buy tickets early as many shows sell out since it is not a gigantic space. Make sure to join their mailing list to... More

Went to see Jeff Austin and the traveling McCourey band. Being from the twin cities this reminded me a lot of First Ave in Minneapolis. But thee the floor isn't as big and the upper level is much better. We were upstairs and to stage left, they have risers which ensures you get a great view down to the stage.... More

Saw Gogol Bordello here along with Man Man, fantastic show! The only negative thing I have to say is the body heat contained in this venue was at an insane level. Bring layers so you can get comfortable. The acoustics were nice and the multi-level standing and seating were excellent (if you get there early enough to claim a good... More

I have been to the 930 club twice this year. The first time I saw The Kaiser Chiefs who were absolutely brilliant. The sound was very good too. The second concert was Kasabian. I was less impressed. The band were great as always but the sound was horrific and very distorted. It didn't help with the support act Bo Ningen,... More

If there's a band that you want to see live they will be preforming at the 930 club. This club is a launching pad for all up and coming bands. The food and drinks are great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is a breeze. Hands down our favorite venue in DC.

I have lived in DC all my life and had never been to the 930 club until last week for a concert. My wife and I chaperoned our daughter and her friend to a Friday night event. The club offers all ages shows (16 and up) and we wanted to verify the safety and environment for a 17 year old... More

This was my first time at the 9:30 Club and it was much better that I assumed it would be. The drink prices are high, but no surprise there. I went to see Jenny Lewis - got there about 45 mins early and waited in line to get in (I was probably 15th I line). Once I got in I... More

First time at the legendary 930 club! Went to see Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls! What a fantastic show. Love the size of the venue, not really a bad spot in the house. The Balcony looked like a cool place to hang out, but the floor is where it's at. The Sound was Amazing! Bars are convenient, but a... More
