Don't miss this newest memorial, on the Tidal Basin across from the Jefferson Memorial. As with other memorials, quotations of Martin Luther King, Jr., get visitors thinking about his contribution to our country and to civil rights.

This was a great experience of history and exhibits. This adds to the many historical monuments and exhibits but this one is one of the new additions and it definitely is worth the trip!

Overwhelming in size and emotion, this is a newer memorial which I hadn't seen in person before. We rented bikes and visited the monuments at night and this one shined.

A must see monument on the Mall. Very well done and great photo opportunity. Don't forget to check out the bookstore. And the restrooms are some of the cleanest and nicest on the mall. We used the MLK as the home base and made the short walk to the WWI and WWII memorials. The Lincoln Memorial is a little further... More

This was a great site to see. I am happy he has a memorial there. It has quotes on the walls from his speeches and it is surrounded by a nice little lake. It is an easy walk from the Lincoln memorial.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED with visiting this monument, the quotes as you walk from 1 to the other you felt like you were in that time and space. The entire outlay was well done, you could see much effort was put into this display. I was so glad that part of the black experience was also a part of DC... More

A very impressive and well designed memorial which makes you pause and think. You have a lovely view across the lake. The white stone really makes in impact.

There is very limited parking located close by, but we got there early in the morning and had no trouble. This memorial is an amazing statue to see. It is beautiful, and all of us there viewing it reflected quietly. So glad to see the respect given to this man with quiet reflection. A fairly new memorial, and a wonderful... More

A striking statue by Lei Yixin to a giant of a man. The very effective lighting creates a dramatic effect for stunning night time photos.

One of the newest and best memorials. The life like statue is remarkable. The location near the Potomac River is tranquil and peaceful.
