The design of this monument is much neater to see in person than I';d expected based on the pictures and video I'd seen. Very cool! More

Worth seeing but honestly does not fully capture the significance of the man. We cannot overstate his impact on a peaceful transition to a more integrated society. More

My first impression of the monument was confusing. It's not until you "go inside" the walls do you see the sculpted Dr. King. It's amazing work, beautiful, inspiring. A must see for anyone traveling to DC! More

This is still being built, but it's interesting to go see it. The likeness of Dr. King is done, and it doesn't feel like it's still under construction. It's really cool also to see it from the Jefferson and FDR Memorials around the basin, and vice versa. More

This is one of the newest memorials in Washington DC and it's one that you can't miss. The idea behind the design is great and it's nice to see people reading the quotes and taking photos and just quietly contemplating the life of this incredible leader. More

Beautiful location and easy to get to. A bit disappointed. It just didn't take my breath away like so many of the other memorials. Glad I went and it should not be missed. More

The MLK Jr. Memorial is impressive. The memorial is dominated by 3 large stones, one of which is moved forward toward the Jefferson Memorial. MLK Jr. has been cut from the forward stone, looking toward the Tidal Basin. The stones are flanked by 2 walls that contain many memorable quotes. The memorial serves its purpose in recalling history and demonstrating... More

Loved the setting, the quotes, the formative statue of MLK. Was a little taken a back by the "white mountain" that the staue seemed or the artist wanted it to seem, like MLK came from. Just a personal critique. More

Upon entering, it is beautiful. Known for his words, MLK Jr. thoughts are reflected throughout. It is amazing to behold this Memorial for all it's a must see when in D.C. More
