I went to a wedding there at the rooftop and the reception on the second floor. The food they had was great and I did not get dizzy, little movement or nothing at all was felt through out the wedding. Great cruise

I took the Spirit of Washington Mt. Vernon cruise and wasn't too impressed. There weren't any major sights that were worth seeing, or paying a lot of money to see, and the narration was sparse. The ship itself was decent - clean and a lot of seating. The food was overpriced and not what was really advertised. A buffet was... More

Took the Mount Vernon cruise. Easy way to get there, enough time to tour the house, have lunch, and wander...But..the ship needs to be cleaned. The floor had not been vacuumed in some time- food visibly noticeable.. Windows need to be cleaned.. They started cooking and setting out the food for their dinner cruise on our way back at 230pm!... For their New Year's Eve cruise, we arrived to the boat dock only to find a long line in front of the Spirit of Mt. Vernon. We stood there in the frigid (20 F) air for 20 minutes but no one opened the boarding; finally I went to some staff and begged them to open and 5 minutes later we... More

Food was mediocre. Expected some dialogue about the area. Overpriced for content. Difficulty catching taxi after cruise. Bathrooms not clean by end of cruise.

Boating down the Potomac to Mount Vernon was unique and interesting. Along with a 3 plus hour visit to Washington's home. Convenient, relaxing, and informative. Returning in time for additional activities in DC before the close of day. Good value. Comfortable, clean boat..

We were part of a large group aboard an evening dinner cruise. There were also private parties and one other large group of students on this boat and yet it was large enough to accomodate us all with a feeling of exclusiveness. The crew was amazing - and interacted in a fun and upbeat manner with us all - they... More

I love short cruises, and had missed Mt. Vernon last time I visited DC, so this was a welcome choice to take. The cruise lasts quite some time (there is occasional narration as you pass places of note), then they drop you off at Mt. Vernon for 3 hours (note: Mt. Vernon takes at least 5 hours to really see),... More

A very nice way to get to/from Mount Vernon. A cruise down the Potomac (our tour took off & returned from DC's Waterfront Harbor) with live narration (live) both there & back. The narration was just right - not too much. Great photo opportunities along the way. The cost of the cruise included admission to Mt. Vernon and a timed... More
