Expectations were greater than experience. Be prepared to fork out $17.00 for parking, wait 20 minutes for beverage service, and minimal views of the monuments. The weather was very nice however.

We went on the dinner cruise last and it was awesome. The management team was nice and our waiter was great. My boyfriend had a great birthday and it's a night we will not forget!

What a relaxing way to travel from Washington DC to Mount Vernon and back. The upper deck was a great way to see the river and the settlements along its banks as we floated down the Potomac. The three hours allotted to tour Mt Vernon was adequate and entering from the river made us feel as if we stepping back... More

We took an evening three hour dinner cruise tonight - July 19th. Great fun. The staff were very attentive. Lots of choice with the food. They had the buffet laid out differently which allowed them to get the passengers fed relatively quickly. A nice touch was the complimentary champagne upon boarding. We enjoyed the DJ and the music selection. Three... More

The Spirit Cruise was a fun idea for going out with a few friends, but it was ultimately disappointing. We sat at our table listening to bad DJ music and realized we were already bored...and the boat hadn't even left the dock yet. It was conveniently located, but was gimmicky. Excellent views of the Potomac and monuments, but sub-par food.... More

Booked the Spirit of Washington for July 4, 2014. We arrived at the dock at the requisite time and waited in line for 45+ minutes to board. They have a couple of photographers that take your photo and offer to sell to you on board (the photo actually turned out great and we bought one). Once on-board, the chaos began.... More

The Spirit cruise was a fun time with a wonderful staff and fun DJ. When you arrive at the cruise there is parking along the street and also parking in a small lot adjacent to the marina. We however used the Metro as we were staying in Old Town Alexandria several but quick stops away. (allow about 30-40 min.) if... More

Went there for a birthday celebration. Food was sub par. I feel for the price paid it should have been a more fine dining experience. Even if it was a buffet the choices were very limited. The food was not great either. However, the views and the boat ride are fantastic. If you are looking for a fine dining experience... More

Just returned from a 3 week trip to the states and unfortunately only now read Miriam's review dated 16th June. I would mirror her comments exactly. We were only in DC for 3 nights and really wanted to do something special in what is a great city. Chose the Spirit cruise as photos, menu and general description looked like what... More

I purchased a Groupon, called and let the agent know I had just purchased a Groupon and wanted to make a reservation for this Saturday night. The agent on the phone told me there was no availability on the cruise. I was on the website and saw that there was, in fact, availability and told him so. He said that... More
