If you are tired of walking and want a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of DC, this is your tour. 90 minute ride on the Potomac on a great ship (3 levels, clean and great staff) and then three hours at Mt Vernon (you will need it) So much to see there. George and Martha... More

I had not been on Spirit Cruises for some years but didn't remember it being that special. This visit changed my opinion. Spirit of Washington has been nicely renovated since my last visit, and the food was delicious. Eggs are powdered, but acceptable. Everything was very tasty, both breakfast and lunch items. Wish they would have had some type of... More

Traveling with 16 Girl Scouts (& no car) this was a great way to visit Mt Vernon. Food on board was OK (lunch was much better than breakfast). Wish we had a bit more time to walk around Mt Vernon. Very comfortable and relaxing day

This is a cruise from Pier 4 in DC to Mount Vernon. It was 1 1/2 hours each way with about 3 hours of time to visit Mount Vernon. The trip was narrated on the way down. We were dropped off at the wharf at Mount Vernon. The boat has a well stocked snack bar. The fee included the cruise... More

I travel to DC every November with my high school seniors. We always ride the Spirit of Washington on the last night of our trip. The service, food and cruise are always exceptional. I don't know what happened last November, but the meal wasn't as up to par as it always has been. For one, the buffet line was spread... More

We went on the cruise to mount Vernon with spirit cruises. Booking was easy online and the cruises both ways were punctual. Washrooms were clean and all staff were friendly and polite. Food served was good ( cafe inside - food for purchase ) coffee good and chips etc. Had a great freshly made garden salad and wife had a... More

This trip was a dinner cruise for a teen group. The teens age 13-17 enjoyed the food and the dancing. I thought the cruise would be longer, but it went as far as the National Harbor and turned around to go back to the port. The food was good. The brownies were the sugar rush the teens needed :). The... More

My sister, mother, and I decided to do the Spirit of Washington Gospel Lunch cruise. The last time I had been on the Spirit of Washington was for my prom, back in 1993! Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised that I ended up having a good time. From the beginning, everything flowed smoothly. Getting my tickets... More

Same company as Odyssey. Prices at the dock are higher than advertised on the internet. They advertise a guaranteed window seat then tell you that no more are available after boarding. Salad had a remnant of a store label still on tomato. Menu was soiled. Trip was about 25 minutes shorter than advertised with no explanation and the boat docked... More

We expected a great meal and lots of drinks along with a great view of the fireworks. None of those expectations were met. We waited for over 45 min after placing our order for our first drinks to arrive. Dinner was a ho-hum buffet. We stayed south of the 395 bridge so didn't have the spectacular Monuments in the background... More
