My sister, mother, and I decided to do the Spirit of Washington Gospel Lunch cruise. The last time I had been on the Spirit of Washington was for my prom, back in 1993! Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised that I ended up having a good time. From the beginning, everything flowed smoothly. Getting my tickets... More

Same company as Odyssey. Prices at the dock are higher than advertised on the internet. They advertise a guaranteed window seat then tell you that no more are available after boarding. Salad had a remnant of a store label still on tomato. Menu was soiled. Trip was about 25 minutes shorter than advertised with no explanation and the boat docked... More

We expected a great meal and lots of drinks along with a great view of the fireworks. None of those expectations were met. We waited for over 45 min after placing our order for our first drinks to arrive. Dinner was a ho-hum buffet. We stayed south of the 395 bridge so didn't have the spectacular Monuments in the background... More

My wife scheduled a Dinner Cruise on the Spirit of Washington Cruise Ship for our 10th Anniversary. I was only half listening to her when she suggested it would be fun cruising the Potomac over a romantic dinner. I stated I was fine with her scheduling such a trip. 7/22/2015 (day of cruise), I picked up the registration confirmation and... More

Our downtown hotel recommended we take a taxi to the pier. This worked out ok but give yourself extra time if arriving for the dinner cruise. The dinner was good and dancing was fun. Got a nice view of airplanes landing at nearby airport. We witnessed a proposal on the top deck ! Only problem was at end of cruise.... More

My wife and I honestly didn't know what to expect when we booked a lunch cruise on the Potomac. It was incredibly enjoyable. The food was good (buffet), service was excellent (the staff clearly enjoy their jobs), a DJ provided music and dancing if you wanted to, but there were also plenty of decks around the boat to hang out... We thought this would be an excellent way to see the Independence Day fireworks in Washington without the hassle of the mall. On that score a win. The cruise advertised as a dinner cruise should adjusted to booze cruise. Yes, there was a dinner. But many passengers had completed dinner before we sailed. Booze for over four hours! I had... These boats have none of the "ambiance" of boating; In the summer, you either sit on the top deck in hot sunlight - might work best on a cloudy day - or freeze in the large cabin (the air conditioning is too high). The Potomac is pretty but for a water experience I've had plenty better and it's boring for... More

What a great time aboard the Spirit of Washington for 4th of July! This cruise was an all you can drink along with food and dessert and a GREAT DJ. The food was great along with the friendly crew who was there to help in any way. The fireworks over looking DC were breath taking. It will be something I... More

As an end of the school year treat, I took a group of 22 college students to celebrate rheir graduation. They all showed up & were very excited to go. The boat was nice, the cruise host/dj was great. She played all variations of music and kept the guests entertained and Iinvolved. Seeing the city from waterside is always spectacular... More
